Hello Mattia! So recently I've been to Peru, in South America, because I was visiting my family after ten years. Of course we did some tourism. I haven't traveled that much but I enjoyed Peru the most. I loved the food, the tours, the nature, the people, the culture... It is quite different from Spain (where I have always lived). It is an exotic country so I recommend you to visit other zones, don't stay in the capital! Did you know? Peru has city, coast, mountain, desert and jungle. It is SO AMAZING. Unluckily I didn't have time to visit the desert. The zones I enjoyed the most were the jungle and the mountains.
As a landscapes admirer, I'd say Iceland. It felt like as if I was in some unwordly place carved by the majestic taste of enigmatic Gods. Waterfalls, glaciers and volcanoes, active geysers, ice caves, black sands, basalt columns and rocks, vast lagoons, some icebergs, fjords, the northern lights, whales, amazing canyons, volcanic fissure and many more. Where ever you look, you see some otherworldly formations of nature.
Cambodia - We went there mainly to see Angkor Wat but we spent time in and around Phnom Penh as well. The ruins or Angkor Wat and others around it were amazing. The people of Cambodia were some of the friendliest people I've ever met. The food was very good as well. It was a wonderful trip.
I agree with lizzypop that Peru is pretty amazing as well. Once again the star attraction, Machu Picchu was the main draw for us but we visited other areas as well. We did a trek over the Andes which was amazing and also sent to Lake Sandoval in the Amazon jungle where we say giant river otters. We also spent some time in Lima and visited some wonderful museums and had some great food.
New Zealand was probably one of my favorite places because it has so much variation packed into two islands. The scenery is very nice and there are lots of places one can go and be away from crowds. We visited a Maori village, learned about their culture and spoke with two Maori teenagers who had interesting ideas about what the United States was like. They had been to Hawaii before and thought the rest of the US was somewhat like that. We visited some geothermal pools and mud pots and many other places. We were only there for a week and I'd love to go back someday.
