Hello everybody!! ๐ค Do you have nice summer plans? Will you go on vacation or study maybe or work? Or if you go on holiday do you plan super late or now already? ๐
Almost May now!!! ๐ธ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ Have a nice day!! ๐๐โโ๏ธ
I really hope so too that it works for you but it is also a BIGGG step!!! Will you also go to France or Portugal for some days free for yourself or with your family perhaps?
allways. We also need to go back to Portugal once in a while, for our neighbours, and we got a house and a ruin out there, both need restoration. If possible we will NOT be selling them.
We will be visiting Central Asia this summer. Combination of culture (Silk Roads and local splendour), beautiful mountain lakes to swim and horseback riding in nature.
Wowwww ๐ณ๐ณ I know @Idkbro likes horesback riding too and i think also in nature.
I hope to go with either care house or trips for disabled ppl
That would be really nice!! Did you do a trip with disabled people before? And if yes what did you do? ๐
Maybe move from Brittany to the Pyrenees, with 1 or 2 stops inbetween. time and budget are a bit tight this summer, so we cannot really extend it and travel much more. It's already very good though ๐
That is already a BIGGG tip from where you are to the Pyrenees!! How long do you stay away on the trip?
Haven't been on a vacation for the past 7 years. I can go to China, but I've been there a few times already. Hoping to see more of Europe, although it's way too expensive as a family.
You can go to Belgium or Germany with the car and go to an airbnb if you have a super large family. I will go maybe with my mom and aunt to London for several days and we will also look for airbnb bc maybe it is not so expensive as a hotel.

Maybe 2 weeks for we have to join Barcelona for the way back... The road to the Pyrenees can be done by car within a day, but I think it will be better to stop in Bordeaux and maybe Toulouse as my partner doesn't know France and likes cities...
I will probably have to work a little during the trip though

Is your partner from another country than France? It is nice that in the summer you can show other parts of France that you like!! ๐ And if you go to Barcelona you can see buildings from Gaudi bc @PinkiePie wrote about it in her interview!! And you can post lots of pictures!!! ๐
Thanks Yue. We were once for two weeks in Mongolia for horseback riding in nature. This time we will be occupying a yurt/ger in Kyrgystan.
I saw a comment above re Zambia. South Luangwa is awesome. Wildlife sightings were superior compared to Kafue. Crossing the border into Botswana to visit the parks in the north (Moremi, Okavango and Savuti) is โas good as it getsโ. Heaven on earth!
The Pyrenees also seem enticing! Never been there before. We would love to hike there when our youngest daughter (currently 4) is a bit older. Sights on both the French and Spanish side of the border should be spectacular!

I have no car ๐ And my wife can't go to England because she is Chinese and she needs a visa, which is difficult to obtain. Otherwise I wanted to go on a weekend trip there. Still want to see Scotland too.

Yes, she's from Latin America, so I think it's a good idea if she can see a little bit of the country, and Pyrenees happen to be on the way, but also a place I went often during my childhood.
I didn't really want to go to Barcelona to be honest. I don't like to rush so much and prefer to spend 2-3 weeks in a single region/province, but, well... It's not so far and she has to go there anyway. I will see if I can see a few of those Art Nouveau architecture there. For the pcictures though, I don't know, ahah.
I used to have a phone that made good photos, but the current one disappoints me; and the jack port I bought it for, mainly, also doesn't work properly, making it even more disappointing, but eh... I can't really or wish to change it since it works well.
@Savi2024 It's very beautiful there; it only has a few problem: Southern French! ahhah. No, no, it's really a beautiful place to visit. Central Asia also seems really cool to experience. I had a professor who goes regularly in some of these countries for Kulan conservation if I remember properly. She was really enthusiastic about it and showed us beautiful pictures from Kazakhstan among others.

Thank you. We'll be based in Livingstone as we have some friends there who own a hotel there. We'll probably have around a week to explore the areas. Didn't look into crossing into Botswana yet but I've noted your suggestions.

Livingstone is great to visit the magnificent Victoria Falls. Be careful not to make the same mistake as we did: crossing the bridge on foot into Zimbabwe for a โpeek on the other sideโ. Easy to cross the border, but no guarantees to get back again.
A week is relatively short the explore either Zambia or Botswana. For an exclusive focus on the northern parks of Botswana: Chobe is a good start and great for elephants and lions. Savuti is the famous place where a large pride of lions hunted down elephants in the local Marsh. Seeing a Savuti lioness is crazy (size alone is beyond any standard). Okavango and Moremi are to be chosen for amazing scenery. Floating in the Okavango Delta in a mokoro is a once in a lifetime experience. Moremi offers sights of elusive leopards without an army of trucks filled with tourists like sardines (as applies to safaris in several other countries).
You can cross borders with a private tour. Alternatively, you can fly from Livingstone to Maun in Botswana (for Okavango/Moremi). There are also flights from Kasane in Bots to Maun.
Enjoy your time in the amazing south! And do let me know should any queries arise.
