i dont like manga nor pokemon, but i do see a lot of people who do like them.

Why do you like them?

I don't like pokemon because they always say their names on loop, that's so annoying. If you're just going to say one word over and over again, don't talk!

But I have to admit that creatures with special abilities are pretty cool, and the world of pokemon was well thought of, so that's one good side about it. And I guess the characters are interesting too? I don't really know.

The least important aspect of Pokemon is the anime bruh

Manga is really just a better storytelling method versus comics and most anime

What?

It is terrible! How can someone likes this horror about people, who tame animals, then they use them to fight. For fame and idk, money? Bruh. Oh, and to tame one, they have to beat it first, so it's weak and submissive. And they keep them in little ball!

Terrible.

What?

The trading card game and the games are a way better representation of the concept

🤔

I really like Pokémon because I grew up with the first games and it was really entertaining for many reasons. I also liked the cartoon when I was a child because it was the begining, it was quite a nice one (if you are 17 though, it might be normal that you don't like it anymore) and the opening like the first movie was just phenomenal for our generation.

I think Pokémon is really important for my generation because it was something big, that we grew up with and that we kept feeding. For example:

- we played games when kids, watched the cartoon and had cards

- we kept playing the games

- we have goodies, cards, stickers...

- There are new things coming up regularly.

On my part, I know that many people were playing Pokémon Go on our small campus, including the university teacher, 2 years ago. I have stickers and a few things I bought from the Pokécenter; but I also find Pokémon a valuable resource in biology.

For manga, it's also a cultural wave coming from Japan. It used to be cheaper than French comics, but still nice with different stories, more mature for some and coming with huge tv programs in France so that it had a huge influence since the 80's. Dragon Ball, Saint Seyia and a few big anime just paved the way for all other mangas.

Maybe a reason why you don't like anime/manga is because there has been a huge decrease in level since a few years and only looked for recent things, but you might simply not be sensitive to it either, in which case it's just up to you.

I find that statement really restricting. Comics and anime are just different medias with their pros and cons. The works behind comics like Franco-Belgian ones are much more worked on and thought very differently than a weekly release like mangas. Similarly for animes, they are not necessarily adaptations and can tell a story at very least as well as anything else.

Lianshen muokkasi tätä .

just to tell you; im 17 and i never ever liked it.

I prefer manga as a medium myself
