@Etienne, @Sabri_KC and @Lianshen in France there are dishes with snails right. Do you like or hate them? Maybe @sunnydance if it does not LOOK like a snail you can eat it but if it looks super slimey than maybe not.
I googled it and everything. It wasn't uncommon to eat snails in Germany in the past. They had tonnes of herb butter on them...maybe so they didn't taste like snails ๐.
Funny, but I would consider it cruelty to animals to eat snails. I also like to eat meat, not every day, but I have nothing against it ๐คทโโ๏ธ

I've never eaten true snails, but I've already eaten whelk, which is very similar in texture to snails. But the taste is special. Like it's not too slimy, and tastes a little like fish.
