Last Evening....

ART -- GAME OF LOVE

"Someone who truly loves extends the fleeting
moment of climax into infinity.... "

Like so many men, I like to get straight to the point.
Does that necessarily mean coming ‘too soon’?

That is certainly a matter of the overall approach and,
as is so often the case, lies in the eye of the beholder.

When it comes to ART, there are four essential aspects
for me that, ALWAYS SERVE ONE SINGLE PURPOSE:

1. My soul has been artfully woven, which is why I believe
in a Higher Consciousness within the Universe.

Awareness for a single moment....

"The mere fact that digital cameras take photos does not in itself
enable anyone to express themselves – no matter how stylish
the image may ultimately turn out to be. "

2. For me, the prelude (the preparation) must be as extensive as
possible so that I feel confident enough and ‘filled up’ enough to
‘get down to business’. It’s a bit like a star collapsing in on itself.

Like a candle in the dark....

3. Whilst actually carrying out the work, nothing else occupies
my attention. There comes a moment when, without a second
thought and with absolute certainty, I feel that the time has
come to create the work.

It is the moment of the supernova — to stick with the image
I mentioned earlier.

Sunday -- not every day....

4. For me, it is solely and exclusively about creating a framework
within which the ‘Super-Nova’ can unfold in a completely uncon-
trolled manner. In this phase, anything can happen; there are no
reservations, expectations or the like....

Revealing in words, but painful in reality,

especially when nothing happens to show you even a tiny hope of transcend...

But you have no choice but waiting at the dead end.

The good point is this not even a "waiting" anymore,

This is nothing,

Nothing is expected anymore...

The canvas that NEVER became a picture

There is a canvas that I have used time and again as a backdrop for special
photographs. It has been redesigned every now and then, and as this has
been the case for almost 40 years, I have developed a bond with it.

A few days ago I hammered in the wedges. This is done to stretch the
canvas evenly and tightly across the frame. A picture is now taking shape
on this canvas – one that I’ve been carrying around with me for years.

Because it’s something so unique to me, I’m photographing the next steps.
Ultimately, it is Phase 4 – in my definition of the creation of a Work of Art,
or perhaps just ‘another’ background! But – in this way, another work is
definitely taking shape, which I can and will exhibit here…

In the Outdoors -- under a Marple-Tree...

...a canvas that has been painted over time and again is a little like
human existence. Endless events, both big and small, accumulate
in our nervous system. At least, that’s the case if one tends to cling
to the past and doesn’t particularly want to face it. So we store
both the joyful and the traumatic experiences. At some point,
our nervous system becomes so overloaded and inflexible that
it literally breaks. I used this fact as inspiration to give the canvas
in question an image.

Because,... words are unable to describe....

...when a dish has been cooked and elegantly arranged on a plate,
this may delight the mind. The true art, however, lies in preparing
food before it is eaten in such a way that it is suited to the eater’s
constitution and can be fully digested.

This is precisely what should be strived for in every form of art and
defined as the measure of all things.

Creating works of art isn’t complicated

Of course, you have to learn the craft and become one with its
unique qualities. The greatest ‘danger’ to the creative process,
however, lies in ‘wanting to create something special’. The
evening sky, the sun sinking below the horizon, the clouds
drifting by -- there is no pretence.

Everything must be kept simple -- without slipping into the trivial.

...Self-Centredness can be a wonderful quality. It’s all a
question of awareness. In my view, multi-dimensional
awareness automatically leads to eccentricity.

The universe says: ‘Now go and find out what that means.’

Yes! Absorb! That is the word.

That is what I have been feeling with this "designed canvas".

Another partial with a little sun-light-spots....

This one can be named "Intensity". It touched me a few nights ago by its Blissful Intense Dancing colors. The light on it has made it even more absorbing!

"To me", the blue color is the water in which the lovers was swimming happily and the red color is the stunning movement of their lips that The Artist portrayed on this dignified sophisticated canvas. It seems this cancas is releasing itself after so many years.

Who knows in which feeling and in which dimension of awareness was The Artist immersed while he was creating this "festive celebration".

Its colors, its curved shapes, its temprature, and the whole intense "entity" of this living art were inviting me to join and dance with them.

As ever, words cannot describe how I was feeling during those moment, but I never forget it...

What could be more rewarding than conveying such beautiful feelings to the viewer after 40 years of waiting?

And this is what my heart learns: such rewards make even the hardest "Waitings" tolerable and even sweet...
