"Simply beautiful, frightening or even ugly is not enough. Without the
willingness to confront suppressed feelings or fears — in short, the
loss of control — even a sublime canvas remains flat.
To truly take-in the image, it also makes sense to give space to the
artist’s vision. I regard it as a great privilege to be able to work,
exhibit here and describe my work.
That’s right… of course, I’m not just talking about painting.

It's so soft, so silent, so loud, so deep...

Yeah... it's a treasure of gold deep in the ocean...
What's after that on the other side of the gold?... it's unknown and out of sight.
Only those who can reach and pass this treasure can go further and explore the hidden knowledge...

Last Night I took the Canvas in,

This Afternoon I like to finish my work ... BUT, I never know
before it is really done. We'll see. However, the real ART-WORK
was, in this case, to show the painting finding its way to me...
Well, here you have it. Two old friends came unannounced
and we shared some wonderful time. We have not seen us
or many years and so there was a lot to tell.
Thor left me as student and visited me today as Master.
He went to Nepal and lived with a Lama... 🙂

In this day and age, events in our social environment can be captured
on digital cameras. This can give the impression that we know what is
going on. But is that really the case? I doubt it. It’s just like with mobile
phones … we talk a lot, but we actually communicate very little.
Some artists therefore exaggerate – sometimes to the point of the
grotesque – in order to jolt the Art Lover into awareness. I tend to
strip the ‘image’ of light and give expression to the intensity that,
for me, is ever-present and constantly flooding in. Through the
medium of photography, WITHOUT pushing the image into the
realm of the irrational.
It is above all about highlighting connections, experiences or
injustices that cannot be conveyed by depicting the physical
aspects of existence alone.
