For the next part of the interview below i first wanted to make questions myself but because of the last part and also what Christine wrote about, I asked Christopher if maybe he could do the same like the last time. So these 5 questions are not from me but in same way as the last time. 11: Why did you decide to name your specific educational framework the Magister Butler Method™ (MBM™), and what is the story behind that name choice?
The method actually went through several name changes before I settled on the final one. When I first started formulating it on August 25, 2021—the first day of my 6th-grade year—it was originally just referred to as the "Innovative Teaching Method" because it didn't really have a name yet. Later on, I called it the "Butler Philosophy". The breakthrough for the permanent name didn't happen until January 5, 2026, when I first took Latin I Honors. Learning Latin completely shifted my perspective, and adding "Magister" (which means teacher or master in Latin) felt like the perfect way to formalize the model and step into my identity as a future educator.
12: How do you plan to handle the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in your future classroom, and why do you feel this approach is necessary?
Unlike traditional systems that fight against technology, I am actually going to encourage AI usage for personalized learning in the Magister Butler Method™. AI isn't going anywhere and will always be around, so my students need to get used to utilizing it responsibly before they reach higher grade levels and enter a technology-driven workforce. The problem isn't that students use AI; the problem is that they use it for the wrong reasons, like cheating. In my classroom, students will use an AI Level of Autonomy Scale (from Level 0 to 5) and follow a strict "Rule of Transparency" where they must log the tool, show their prompts, and own their AI Disclosure Statement. Plus, since my assignments rely entirely on open-ended Free-Response Questions (FRQs) to test real understanding, I will actually be using AI myself to help grade them so I don't become completely overwhelmed and stressed.
13: What exactly is your "Anonymous Friendship Activity" (AFA), and how does it fit into your pedagogical vision?
The Anonymous Friendship Activity (AFA) is a structured pen-pal activity that is an official part of the Magister Butler Method™. On the first day of school, I will pair students up—ideally matching a male and a female together—to become completely anonymous pen pals for the entire academic year. They will be assigned a 3-digit code to address each other, and they will correspond regularly through written letters delivered via classroom "mailboxes" without ever knowing their partner's true identity until the very end of the year before EOG testing begins. As an introvert with Autism Spectrum Disorder who has personally struggled to navigate social environments, I designed the AFA to remove the immediate fear of social judgment and conflict. It allows students to practice vital communication and writing skills while building genuine, organic human bonds purely through their words.
14: Instead of traditional field trips, you use the term "Enrichment Expeditions." What is the philosophy behind this, and how do they function on a day-to-day basis?
I refuse to call them field trips because when kids hear that phrase, they immediately think of a free day off from learning where the only goals are sitting by their best friend on the bus and eating a packed lunch. In my model, we go on "Enrichment Expeditions" because "enrichment" implies adding value and depth to what we are already studying, and "expedition" implies a journey with a targeted purpose. The core philosophy driving this is “The World Is Our Classroom” (TWIOC). Every single expedition must tie directly back into at least one of our core subjects: Math, ELA, Science, or Social Studies. To keep learning continuous without needing an extended travel bus every time, I also utilize Mini-Enrichment Expeditions (MEEs). These are micro-level, 45-to-60 minute targeted outdoor explorations right on the school grounds where students step outside their classroom door to turn the school environment itself into an active landscape of discovery.
15: You talk about your music preferences being exclusively radio-friendly or family-friendly pop, but you also have a deeply personal rule regarding online safety and age boundaries. Can you explain that choice?
Yes, because I am a minor navigating high school, I have established a strict, non-negotiable boundary that I will not socialize or attempt to befriend anyone who is 18 years old or older. This is a personal safety wall that I am maintaining until the exact day I legally turn 18 myself. I recognize that there is a massive imbalance in life experience, legal rights, and authority between adults and minors. It honestly doesn't phase or bother me if other teenagers think it's weird or choose to normalize extreme age-gap friendships. My absolute priority right now is protecting my peace, ensuring my safety, and focusing on growing alongside peers who are in the exact same chapter of life as I am.

16: What hobbies do you have when you have time for yourself? Do you like to watch movies or series or do you play sports? Or do you like to go to certain places maybe? And what is a new hobby that you would like?
In my free time, my primary hobby is acting as an education advocate on Instagram under my creator account, @magister_butler. I am the only person in my family who prefers performance arts over sports, and I have a unique musical hobby where I like to spontaneously sing and compose melodies without prior preparation. When it comes to watching series, I love animated shows like Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, Winx Club, Mysticons, and Lolirock. As for places I want to visit, I have a strong desire to see the Biltmore Estate, which became a personal goal after a fourth-grade field trip was cancelled due to the pandemic. A new hobby I would love to pick up in the future is learning French so that I can watch French dubs of my favorite animated shows without needing subtitles.
17: Do you think America is a nice country to live? And if you would have to live the rest of your life in another country: which country would you choose and why? Would you live in outer space if you could for a year or longer?
I identify as apolitical and generally try to stay entirely out of national political matters, but I am very passionate about changing the flaws within the American public education system. If I had to live the rest of my life in another country, I would choose to live in a European country, specifically wanting to visit places like Italy or France. I am highly drawn to Europe because of its rich history, iconic art, architecture, and its status as a cradle of Western civilization. Regarding living in outer space, astronomy and astrobiology are among my deep intellectual interests, meaning the scientific concept fascinates me. However, I also deal with severe undiagnosed acrophobia, which is a intense fear of heights, so spending a year or longer floating in space might be too terrifying for me to actually do.
18: What are your favourite dishes to eat? And can you cook or maybe bake yourself? And do you have any favourite places to go with family or friends like certain restaurants?
Because of my high-functioning autism, I have unique sensory habits and actually refused to eat any hard foods until I was four years old, sticking completely to milk and soft foods up to that point. I don’t have any personal recipes, cooking talents, or baking skills as my independent passions are almost entirely focused on education and pedagogy. I also do not share details about favorite family restaurants because my home environment feels deeply stressful and disconnected and we don’t get out much. Instead of going out to standard restaurants, I prefer to focus my food-related ideas on helping others, such as my proposed plan to establish Hot Meal Zones in school cafeterias so that students facing food insecurity can get warm dishes during school breaks.
19: If you could interview a famous person (it can be anybody from now or from history): who would you choose? And if a movie is made about your life: which actor should play as you? What would be a nice title for the movie?
If I could interview a historical figure, I would love to interview Thomas Jefferson or a member of the Committee of Five who drafted the United States Declaration of Independence in 1776, given my deep interest in American Constitutional Law. If a movie were to be made about my journey, I think a young African-American actor who can capture the quiet intensity of a gifted, introverted educator would be perfect to represent me. A fitting title for the movie would be Let the Storm Go, or You Will Drown in It, which is a personal quote I created about finding the strength to overcome past pain and emotional burdens. Alternatively, it could be called The Assassin with Awareness, which reflects the secret meaning behind my favorite chosen nickname, Conwairsicur.
20: Do you think that there will be something special for you this year? And did you make any New Year's resolutions or is there something that is really important as goal for you this year?
This has already been an incredibly special year for me because I reached a major milestone and got my very first girlfriend on May 18, 2026. My most important ongoing goal is to continue building a strong foundation for my future career in upper elementary education. I am actively working on my definitive passion project, the Magister Butler Method, which I am designing to completely reshape curriculum structures and classroom management. Additionally, I have an upcoming commitment during the summer of 2026 to participate in the NC Teamship Showcase on the NCSSM Durham campus, which is a major step for my personal and professional development.
