Tricky and deep question!

For me it is the candle insight of my heart,
which guids me the way into the light and
is itself part of it. I percieve a kind of longing.

I think it is not individual.

But what is a soulmate?
I think that this other one has a similar way
to percieve the soul.

Maybe I am on the wrong track.
The deeper I get involved in thinking, the more difficult
it is to distinguish the definitions of Self, Soul, Light...

A Question (03) has arisen: If there is a soul that survives physical
death, why do we not remember our previous incarnations?

I almost forgot about that!

To save the magic.

Question 04 Is vanity a virtue? If so, what are mirrors?

I would say, it depends on what you would like to see.
A mirror can show you your reality, giving you confrontation
or it can be used to confirm your vanity...

I wouldn`t go that far that vanity is a virtue...

...but the positive side of vanity mirrors a quality
of the human species. We can choose to appreciate nature
as it is given to us and just put a litte icing on the cake.

Vanity is often judged. Standing out from the crowd
seems to be negative.
It doesn`t have to be manipulative or narcissistic.
It also can be used to emphasize the beauty.
It is positive to be aware of one`s own uniqueness,
positive to love oneself and to use it to encourage
others to live their quality.

Isn`t it just boring, the uniformity of the cars on the road,
the furniture in the shops, tableware,...
...even the make ups and (hair) styles of the (not only)
young generations seem to create uniform appearance.

You can call it vanity to wear a customized perfume which underlines
your quality and even harmonizes your energetic field,
to drink tea from a bowl made by an artist or own a painting,
worth more than a thousand dollar,that you exhibit in your living room.

I think the positive motivation makes the difference.
And so even vanity might be called a virtue.

I would say, it depends....

I would not go that far that....

Would you still call it vanity if you used a mirror to check your awareness...?

Question 05 What do you do when you’re plagued by doubts and fears?

Ooohh,this is a very good question!
You can go in silence, meditation,
lay down, breathing deep and feel
inside of you, getting inner balance.
To get relaxed internally is helpful!


That is the theory - if you are not
able to get stabilized by yourself,
ask your spiritual teacher 💫

DOUBTS and FEARS

Lately I often get plagued by doubts and fears
and most of the time I simply don`t go in
silence, meditation, lay down, breath deep
and I avoid to feel inside of me.
I compensate by eating and watching movies
until I am so tired that I fall into the bed and
get switched of. Totally stupid, I know.

When I am with my spiritual teacher I am mostly
balanced so that I love to be confronted with
my doubts and fears by his presence. We laugh
together, I cry a lot and a lot of feelings are present.
I understand that the feelings, doubts and fears
are not the problem but my attitude towards them.
As long as there are feelings I can`t accept inside of
me, as long there is no peace.

I really want to spare my teacher/ the world with my
inconsequences and be of help for others.
It`s time for my meditation.

QUESTION 01 "Is the sense of 'SELF' created by the existence of the body? "

I think the mind and soul are part of the body. Since they come from the brain, they are created by it, not separate from it.

Question 06 What is the basis of our/your belief?

When we grow up our parents are that 'something "Greater" in the universe'.
We later recognize that they are not the gods we thought they were.

But I think the basis was set earlier. As new born I believe we feel connected.
Connected with everything. We are part of something and also are this 'everything'.

During our spiritual development we get the chance to reconnect again or to
become aware that we always have been connected.
The practise in your forum >>> PEACE in our WORLD <<< helped me to
remind me of this. To sit in silence with the awareness that around the world there
might be others who do so at the same time opens my heart.
I feel connected.

Question 06 What is the basis of our/your belief?

The very basis of my belief, is to attempt to make myself greater than I am, in each and every acts. For this very craft, my toolbox contains serenity, regularity, absence of vanity, sincerity, simplicity, veracity, equanimity, Fixity, non-irritability, adaptability, humility, tenacity, integrity, nobility, magnanimity, charity, generosity, and purity. Thus I don't need to carry some "greater than Universe" tool in my toolbox.

We are part of something and also are this 'everything'....

Yes, w are not just one individual. Whenever we connect with another
being, we feel that. The can carry our belief, Christine.

The very basis of my belief, is to attempt to make myself greater than I am....

Perhaps it’s down to the way I’ve phrased it, or my limited ability to convey what I mean in English. 🙂

If 'belief-in-creation' (universe) is all that matters, a single candle is enough
to light the way. However, if there is anything in belief beyond this physical
phenomenon, that is what I mean by; 'Something-Greater-in-the-Universe’.

Your description is, for me, exactly that, Diogenes,
and so or so -- I am grateful for your contribution.

I agree to this statement and when I look back,
I had a feeling, that there is much more,
quite early in my life. Of course I couldn´t
name it that way, but I started to discover
the world, looking for the Greater and
getting limited through my parents all the time.
That made me chose a very extreme way
of following my wish to experience the
Greater - at least my introduction to
Meditation gave me a short and nearly
unbelievable impression of how it can be.
