Please write here only if you are a Christian!

Is lesbianism considered a sin?

If so, how to live if you're a lesbian but a Christian? Drop everything and live alone or with a guy like all normal people?

Thank you in advance

Oh, that is difficult 😅. If god would be against my girlfriend and me, I would not stay christian.

Hmm... are you a lesbian?

Yes I am

Yes I am

Okay, I got it. Well, you can assume that it's not your fault that you were born like that, but if you start kissing/dating a girl, is it considered a sin? That's what you gave in to the desire?

Please, can you help me, if it's convenient for you, of course?

Okay, I used to be attracted to guys, but not now... ☹️ girls are more attracted to me. My pen pal

I‘m not a Christin and I know that you only wanted answers by Christians, but I grew up in a Christian family and we learn a lot about this religion in school.

I think this is really a difficult topic and there isn’t a clear answer.

Although the bible says that you are not allowed to love a person of the same gender, I think it’s possible to be a Christian and lesbian. You have to find out what it means to you to be Christian. Does it mean to you to take the bible literally? Or does it mean to you to believe in god the way Christians do? And after you found out what it means to you to be a Christian, you can see if it’s compatible with being lesbian. I‘m sure, god always loves you anyway, doesn’t matter who you love. You have to find out if you think the same way.

Sorry, that I wrote although I’m not a Christian, but maybe you can think about what I wrote.

No, of course, thank you so much for writing! I think the Bible shouldn't be taken literally, you should love God. But I don't give up, if I'm really like that, and I'm not interested in guys, then I need to know a clear answer...

And... then I'll be one day without a partner, or should I decide that it's not a sin because it's very hard

):

Can one‘s own personality be a sin? Being lesbian is part of your self and I think your personality can never be a sin. I think a faith should enrich your life and do not make you unhappy. A faith should give support and hope. And because of this I think being lesbian isn’t a sin.

Yes, you're probably right...

Just... I don't know 😞 I'm not sure I'm a lesbian 😞😞😞

Even trimming the beard is considered a sin, so why do you shave? Working on Saturday is a sin, I hope you never worked a Saturday in your life.

Listen, girl, go live your life. You can believe in God and be a lesbian, you don't have to follow a religion that doesn't accept you. Life is too short to "fight against it". You're just 13, you have plenty of time to think about your sexuality but please, don't hate yourself because of religion and NEVER think that there's something wrong with you.

People will always judge, I'm sorry but Christians are masters in judging others and not looking at themselves.

In the Old Testament, specifically Leviticus 19:27, the Bible prohibits cutting the beard, and working on Saturday is a violation of the 4th commandment.

Of course you interpret the Bible to your own views and choose to read the Old or the New testament.

But that's obviously not the point. Let me be cleare. The point is that you are saying to A 13 YEARS OLD to fight what she is! Come on, Christian boy, be more welcoming!

I don't follow the Bible because I don't need the threat of Hell to behave like a decent human being.

You said it right. You will do it again! There's no point talking to you.

I strongly hope that @Kotyaka2023 will follow a more welcoming Christian than you.

Arsenia @Kotyaka2023 i first want to say you are super brave that you make a forum. I dont know if for this i would be able to do that. But you did that and i think that is very brave.

I am not a Christian but from my family we are Buddhists. And one thing that my grandmom said is that there are as many Buddhists as persons. Everybody can be wrong and everybody can be right. And even the Buddha can be wrong himself because he said it himself. What i want to say with that is that we believe that the only sin that you can do is if you want to HARM people. That is a sin and it gives bad karma too. But what you write is that you want to know how you can LOVE a person. That is not harm I think. So if what you want to do is kind and nice and love than it is almost always good.

Sorry if i say something that other people dont believe even also other Buddhists because i know that some believe it VERY differently. But people can be wrong. And if a Buddha can be wrong and he says himself that, maybe also other things can be wrong. In that case i think you can maybe follow that what you do is it kind and good and love. Or is it bad and harmful for others.

I dont want to offend ANYBODY or say things that maybe other people think are super wrong. But bc this is a forum i wanted to say what i think and i know really sure that my grandmom and mom also think the same way. I hope it helps. 😊😊

I think this is right. Buddha never said that what he did or said was right. We're all humans, after all.

The "do not harm" is the greatest principle to live by.

sorry, im not christian, myself im partly (atleast) atheist, for the rest of my familly i dont know. What @Chantal- says makes me think of a meme we found (ive got it on my profile gallery): "do no harm, take no shit". I dont know if this is a good word.

But @Kotyaka2023 in my opinion you do not have to worry about a religion and being lesbian etc its your life; you choose how it must be.

If it feels uncomfortable not-christians are answering too, tell me and i will unfollow this topic and delete my mss derectly.

@LandRoverDiscovery2 yep, that could easily be me! 😅
