I go to the dentist at least once in a year for a checkup and a professional dental cleaning. I don't know if it's different in other countries but here the insurance coverage for dental treatment is higher if you go to the dentist regularly (like once in a year) . It's true that sometimes the treatment is uncomfortable but I think it's necessary to have healthy teeth
I go to the dentist at least once a year for a cleaning. I get cavities easily (that doesn't stop me from eating sweet food at all), my tooth enamel is weaker than other people's. I'm not scared of the dentist, actually I love it. Sure, it's annoying when they scratch your teeth with the tools, but I looove when they numb me (It happened once, I went to pull out a baby tooth that just would not fall, it was moving for months before I went to the dentist), and also when I get out of the dentist's office my mouth feels all clean so that's nice.

I am never afraid and I go min. 2 times.a year to the dentist and it depends these days since i have my brackets i go to the Orthodontics max. 12 times a year
Do you like wearing braces @BartL and @Esma-Nur ? My dajghter had them to but just 1year
To be fair, the braces were okay, the only thing that really annoyed me was a cross-attached elastic band from the upper incisor to the molar on the backend of my jaw, to straighten up my jaws.
Didn't work, felt painfull/annoying, and now after like 10 years or so my teeth that aren't attached to a spint are moving around... so after all not perfect.
