Hello, nice topic. I've been watching the World Cup since I still lived with my parents. My mother was a real fan of Brazil and Argentina, which is why I'm still a Brazil fan. I think the rules about drinking water and those videos of the referees are a bit over the top; it takes away the excitement of football, but the atmosphere surrounding it, the people in the stadium, the beautiful stadiums, and the players (whose names I almost know all thanks to my youngest son) are great.
They are Americanising it, and I don’t think it’s for the better. The drink breaks are only necessary when it’s exceptionally hot, but they are doing it in every game, and you know why? Tv advertising. They fit in another 3 minutes commercials on American tv. Also, they are even referring to it as quarters now, like with the American Football NFL. It’s been predicted for years that USA would only be interested in “soccer” if they could commercialise it more, and now they are doing it. Us English fans are not very happy about it. Next you will see ridiculous stats up on the screen that football fans aren’t interested in. I just think it’s a shame that it’s come down to money again. Sorry, rant over. 😄
I think cooling breaks are the only good thing because of intensive schedule and global warming. It's not so new rule, I saw it first time when Europe League replaced UEFA cup. All other rules make football less interesting to watch.

When it’s very hot, yes. Perhaps 30 degrees or higher, but not just every game.
I have a stupid question. So tomorrow is another match from my country and i was invited by the same group from my class to watch it again because this time it is not so late and we can all have dinner and everybody brings foods and shares. So it may be really nice but i am not really sure because it is also super hot and i have to bike there and im not sure. 😬😬
BUTTTT does maybe somebody have a tip i can say for fun something super smart about football and the world cup and they think i know NOTHING about football but then if i say it they are all like 😵💫😵💫😵💫 and i think it is super funny!!! 😃 But only if somebody knows something really smart of funny or weird that i can say when they dont expect it then. 🙂 Thank u very much if anybody has a nice tip!!!!!!! 🥰🥰

Ok those are super difficult names but i try remember or just look on my phone on the forum again secretly!!! 😛😛 I think that from me they expect it the LEASTTTT and maybe also one of my friends because often people shout to the tv if there is something wrong and we are like ok what is it about. But we just talk also abt other things and u dont have to watch the whole match so that is ok!! But maybe if everybody is silent then i say what @apt said and what u said @Korisnik and look what they say!!! 😛😛

Soorryyy i could not reply more about it yesterday because i was like super DEAFFF and tired!!!! But it was really much fun and nice to watch it this time and everybody was really super happy that now we won it because everybody thought that Sweden was super good because they can score goals. But i went together with my friend and she had bought orange shorts so we thought it would be super funny to do everything opposite because i have white shorts and orange shirt and she had a white shirt and we bought the boa that u can put around ur neck from dutch flags and we had the sminck for ur cheeks with dutch flags and we did that with a lot of people that came and they all just agreed that we could do it so that was really fun. And also everybody brought foods and u could just share. And i did what @apt wrote the first time about Pirlo and i said it after they had a water break and before they begun again and everybody was like what????? And the first thing they said was like who told u about Pirlo and i didnt tell anything but it was super funny but the second time when i said later what @Korisnik said the most of them had to laugh because they said i said the name really wrong of one of them. And they knew i got it from somebody else and that i dont know them really but still that was super funny!!! 😛😛 And most stayed still after the game for like a hour or almost an hour and then leave so that was really nice. 😃
