Active members are getting extra perks 💙️

Hey everyone,

I'd like to take a moment to appreciate our amazing active members — the ones who bring energy and life to this community, especially in the forums. (I won't tag a long list of names, but you all know who you are! 😃) To show our gratitude, we're rolling out a new feature that rewards active members with extra perks!

How does it work?

We've revamped the old leveling system and Active Member badge into a new XP-based system. Now, every time you interact with the community — whether it's sending a message or participating in the forums — you will earn XP (up to a daily cap of 150 XP).

Once you reach an average of at least 100XP per day over a 15-day period, you become an Active Member and unlock the following:

- higher conversation limits
- seen messages indicator
- less frequent ads

These perks (as well as XP values) may be adjusted over time based on how the system performs. But don’t worry — you don’t need to grind for it! Simply using the site regularly is enough to qualify.

Note: XP is processed based on your local time, so make sure you set your timezone to the appropriate value in your account settings if you happen to live in a country that has multiple timezones.

Alongside this update, we've made some big changes to the homepage and other areas. The world map has been temporarily removed and will be relocated to a more suitable place. A new trivia box now reminds you when to play and shows your last score (personal stats coming soon). Your profile view count has been moved to your profile page.

Sorry @Esma-Nur I didn't see your edit. The 2 distinct boxes ("new members" and "online members") you are referring to have been merged into the same box to save space (order is randomized). So it is still there, just not as explicit as before

It's technically possible but I'm not sure what the point of that would be, the forum is more time based (and category based) than it is user based

I actually looked at the stats and found out that both boxes were used just as frequently, that's why they were merged. Of course this doesn't have to be set in stone.
