I’m pleased to win this week. The questions on Sunday were difficult and I only got two or three right. How many people know much about American comedy? I suppose we all had an equal chance of guessing right. Q2. When was the first international game of what played? Chess? Golf? Cricket? Only a small percentage of people would have assumed football and have known this answer, so it would have required another lucky guess for the majority of us to get it correct. Most of us knew the answers to the third and fourth questions, but the last question wasn’t easy either. Anyone who achieved 5/5 has to be a very lucky guesser and/or a trivia genius. We will have to watch out for young Hassan Jan. On the LuminousSoul disqualification, I’d like to say that now she has been caught attempting to cheat for the second week in a row: 1. Will she be serving a lengthy ban this time, because last time she was allowed to play again straight away? 2. After appearing to be a genius and winning 13 times, we find out that she has attempted to cheat for the past two weeks, and this obviously brings into question the issue of how many times might she have won unfairly and relegated some of us to second and third (and all of us to lower) places in the past? 3. I know it’s only meant to be a fun trivia quiz, but things like this can spoil it for the majority of honest players. Thanks to everyone who played honestly and fairly last week.

I had only vaguely heard of most of the comedians. I can’t even remember which one I chose. Same with the International Game. I picked randomly.
Trivia is about what's in one's head/memory and not how fast one can abuse modern technology. It's also about gaining new knowledge about things that sometimes never cross our mind. It's supposed to be fun and competitive as we chase that top spot. Harmless fun but cheats spoil that by using technology to get an unfair advantage.

Very true. When I get a question wrong it actually makes me want to look things up about that subject and learn more. Especially if it’s a subject I thought I knew very well and still got it wrong. A high score is a good sense of accomplishment and some friendly competition, but in the end, I will gain more by learning that new thing than I will have by winning this game.
My wife and I watch a lot of trivia on YouTube together and it’s one of the first things we bonded over before we got married. I will admit though, I enjoy beating her because she likes to trash talk when she wins 😂

@Korisnik I'm honestly surprised to see you suggest giving me a permanent ban. I didn't use any bot or cheat during the trivia. I even contacted Etienne to ask about it, and he explained that the anti-cheat system isn't perfect and suggested I try a different browser in case it was a false flag. I enjoy playing the trivia just like everyone else, so I hope you'll give me the benefit of the doubt instead of assuming the worst. 🙂 @LateLearner I understand why you would think that after seeing the automated message, but I honestly didn't use any bot or cheat during the trivia. I contacted Etienne about it, and he explained that the anti-cheat system isn't perfect and that he couldn't verify whether the detection was correct or not. He even suggested I try a different browser in case it was a false positive. I enjoy the trivia because it's fun, not because I want to win unfairly. I also don't think it's fair to assume that my previous wins were dishonest without any evidence beyond an automated flag. I hope we can all continue enjoying the quizzes and let the moderators handle these situations. 🙂 I honestly didn't cheat, and it's upsetting to see people assuming that all of my past wins were dishonest. If this is how I'm going to be treated despite trying to explain myself, then I don't think I'll be playing the trivia anymore. I don't monitor trivia sessions. Out of transparency, this is what I sent to @LuminousSoul regarding her inquiry:

The anti-cheat is certainly not bulletproof, but it relies on relatively strong signals to identify suspicious activity. I'm unable to check whether it made the right call or not, so I have to take your word for it.
Unfortunately I can't disclose how it works, or I would essentially be giving you free pass to bypass the anticheat entirely 🙂. I know it is frustrating.
It seems that you have been the only person affected and it's been in place for a couple of months now. If you really don't do anything sketchy during the trivia session, perhaps you could try a different browser?

I cannot confirm or deny whether cheating actually took place. What I can say is that it seems there was smoke. Besides, you seem to heavily rely on AI to write messages, so this can raise suspicion.
