Occasionally, fake accounts manage to sneak onto the platform. The system is already very ‘clever’ and is still learning. The watch- ful eyes of some members also help to expose these accounts, which are then blocked.
Question: Would it be a good idea to flag such accounts once they’ve been ‘identified’ and block access to them, BUT leave them visible (for a while)? In such a case, members could also learn something -- perhaps develop greater awareness, Etienne?

I understand the intent behind the suggestion but I would be against it for 2 reasons:
- it's my responsibility to maintain a platform that feels as trustworthy as possible, so leaving sketchy accounts accessible (even if they're explicitly flagged) might create an atmosphere of distrust. To illustrate my point: would you feel safer in a town where you rarely see criminals, or one where series of criminals are publicly lined up for everyone to observe? I think most people would choose the former 😛 - the vast majority of accounts that get caught look perfectly legitimate at first glance. What gives them away are usually technical signals invisible to the public. In fact, many accounts reported as fake turn out to be real people
