...it would be great AND LOGICAL if friends had no
restrictions (age) on mutual access to each other's
profiles, a white list or something like that, Etienne.

Is it possible, yet? If not: Maybe a point for the To-Do-List...?

LOVE and LIGHT

I thought that you can visit EVERY profile EXCEPTTT if you change settings but now im not sure anymore. πŸ™„πŸ™„ And i think anybody can see my profile unless i block smb but that is different.

That's right, Yue. But there's also the following situation.

For example, if you decide that you only want to receive
messages from members of your age group, I won't be
able to write you any more comments. In our case, that
would be completely stupid, because we're friends.

With a white list, you could leave your settings as they
are, add me to this list, and ... voilΓ !

Oww ok i understand what you mean now!!! πŸ˜› πŸ˜› For me it is not different bc i do not change my settings bc i have friends who are all super different and i dont want to change that. But it is a good idea bc maybe others like it. Maybe @Etienne likes it too but i dont know if it is possible.

That's a good point, I thought that it may have already been the case but I guess not. Thanks for the suggestion, I will look into this soon πŸ™‚

That's a good point.... πŸ™‚

You are my HERO, Etienne...

THANK YOU
michael

Can i ask @Etienne: if you didnt do anything are you blocking persons who are for example a lot older than you or does that only happen if you choose it? I think my setting is that anybody can be on my profile but i dont remember anymore if i did that or it was already there. Merci beaucouppppp!!!!! πŸ˜› πŸ˜›

Minors have strict privacy settings turned on by default. You specifically deactivated the option for your profile

An adult can impress a minor very easily. Minors tend to just accept friend requests left and right, message anybody, won't think ahead much and over-share, as seen plenty in this forum.

Not sure about this idea coming from an adult. Sounds off to me.

True, there are people praying on the young just because they are easy to impress. So it's good if teens have the opportunity to restrict who can contact them and who can't. Can be important, particularly for the shy teens. If a teen chooses this, adults should know to take the hint and leave them alone. Sadly, the problematic adults won't respect this. πŸ™

But ideally, people of all ages could converse safely together, it's where learning happens. Of course, this world is far from ideal world and people of all ages need to beware of scammers and abusers, the young people in particular.
