Hello! I would like to know some book recommendations for dystopian, dark or surrealist literature.

Thanks for your recommendations!

‘nadja’ by andre breton (he was basically one of founders of the surrealistic movement, so i’d include his other works too).
‘the passion according to g. h.’ by clarice lispector
‘diary of a madman’, ‘the nose’, ‘the overcoat’ by mykolai gogol
and works of franz kafka, you can choose any of them.

H. P. Lovecraft has written many dark (and crazy!) stories

Well, there is classic dystopian books like "Hunger games" or the "Maze runner", but if you alredy read them I really liked "They both die in the end".

Dracula - Bram Stoker

Golem by Gustav Meyrink

When it comes to dystopias, George Orwell comes to mind with "1984" or 2012 from another author what doesn't came into my mind at the moment.

Otherwise, I can only join the others. Unfortunately, I read a lot, but these genres are not really my thing.

Miss Fifty

The books of Dauphne De Maurier are very dark, especially her short story “The Birds”.

Scarcity

100% Speak (best book I have read so far!)

Prey from Michael Crichton is a pretty exciting book.

Tomb robbery notes

"Chronicles of Ancient Darkness " by Michelle Paver. It's a series of 6 books. It's amazing !

"The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" by Mark Twain. It is one of my favourite storys.

I don't open here often, it would be more convenient for us to build friendship and communicate if you have WhatsApp.

The fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm

The books of Dauphne De Maurier are very dark, especially her short story “The Birds”.
