Neil "Crash" Coffin based out of Cleveland, Ohio. I have played bass for him since 2013 and even though he is not well known outside of the Cleveland area, he has a unique story. Crash was born in 1941. He started playing country music in the 1950's as a teenager until he figured out how to do Rock and Roll/Rockabilly. He made some recordings in Cleveland in the early 1960's, but they were never released at that time. Crash retained the acetates and tapes and released those songs on CD about 15-20 years ago. In the late 1960's/early 1970's Crash recorded more songs (a mix of comical and psychedelic) and released those songs a self-titled LP of all original songs in 1973. Since that time, Crash has recorded (mostly country) more 45's, LP's, and CD's. His music can be found on Spotify for those who are curious. Crash Coffin is still active in the Cleveland area and still does live shows at 85 years old.
