The Endless from 2017. Watch Resolution before you watch the Endless, tho.

A Beautiful Mind should fit what you're looking for.

If you want an off-the-wall suggestion, I would say Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Goofy but very well done

One battle after an other, with Leo DiCaprio i thought it was good but you may watch it and not like it. And lady’s first.

My favorite movie series has always been the Lord of the Rings (extended edition) trilogy.

However, another movie I would suggest is The Fifth Element. It’s my favorite standalone sci-fi movie.

The Judge with Robert Downey Jr. He plays a lawyer who decides to defend his father who used to be a judge. It's one of the best films I have ever seen.
