I always miss the games I only get up early to watch the final. I was curious where does Australia rank. They don’t go to well quality that’s about it. 🤣

You've made a great choice when you moved from Oceania to Asia

Agreed

First of all I want to be clear I will not cheer for any team at this ... World Cup. In my eyes it is clear that a dark horse will be able to make a big surprise and conquer the game of the big nations. This ... tournament will not be won by the best team with the best players but by the team who can save his power the best or who have blocks 3-5 players from one team. All the top players are since 2023 playing without a big break. Some players had breaks from 2 or 3 weeks but not more. I think Japan can and will play a good World Cup. Since there big win in Wembley many guys know what they can do and fans from Serie A know that Suzuki is a super goolie in Parma. Not just because he scored the golden goal in Wembley, Mitoma is one of the best in the world, he stunned Belgium and became a star when he joined the seagulls in Brighton. Doan and Suzuki are playing big in Frankfurt and Freiburg. So Japan can be big.

FIFA and UEFA are killing football. They have already destroyed WC, EURO, and European club competitions by increasing number of games and with the overall Americanisation of football making it harder to follow. It's ridiculous that 3/4 teams can proceed the group stage. Portugal won Euro by playing very boring and with I think only 1 win within 90 mins (I think it was against Wales, please correct me if I am wrong) which is clear sign of absurdity of the newly implemented rules. Cristian Eriksen was the first well-known victim of their greed, we can expect more Eriksens in the future.

Their greed makes their behaviour shizophrenic; FIFA encourages captains to wear gay armbands while choosing Qatar and Saudi Arabia as WC hosts. Even Infantino personally claims to support gays but he has decided to move to Qatar. Real example of nomen est omen. It would be fun if Iran and Israel qualify to WC 2034

Agreed. The schedule for the top clubs and players is brutal. Too many meaningless competitions. Just money to FIFA and Infantino.

As I am a freak i will watch as many games as possible but i am no fan of this F... WC. and 2030 it will get even worse, when Spain Portugal, Morocco and ... Uruguay will be hosts. But 2030 will be still better than 2034 when the WC will be in Saudi-Arabia. But wake me up when real football, club football rebegins. In the end no one needs a tournament like that

This is the time to cheer on your own nation though. I agree that there are too many tournaments and more injuries because of greedy FIFA, but I don’t really see a surprise winner. I agree that teams like Japan can go a long way, but france

What have I to do with France, you use the term my own nation and then you ask for France

Many apologies, I didn’t look at your Luxembourg flag properly 🙄🙏🏼

Maybe I am too severly, but I am no fan of everything who comes out of this country and I will smile after every loss from them. Maybe you should know this flag, maybe you were happy after the game in Hoppenheim but in Luxembourg it was a bit different 🙂

Does anybody knows FIFA's official contact channels? I would like to suggest them to keep the current qualification format, but to allow all countries to proceed to WC.

With current national squad lists being released, any surprises for your home country?

Im soooo happy for the worldcup i bought already the panini book with cards,im always with mexico, argentina ,brazil ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

L'album dei mondiali Panini era il migliore, peccato che dopo mezzo secolo di Album Panini la FIFA ha deciso di far stampare dai prossimi anni le figurine da un'azienda americana 😔

A few surprises, yes. England’s defence has several. Newcastle and spurs didn’t have good seasons and yet Dan Burn, Tino Livramento and DJed Spence are picked, ahead of the experienced Harry Maguire. Although he isn’t the quickest, and sometimes lets his mouth get him into trouble, he’s proven to be reliable, and always a threat in the air when his team is on the offensive. He’s actually younger and yet more experienced than Burn, who is still unproven at international level. John Stones has been restricted to just eight premier league games for Manchester City this season, and yet he has made the squad. This is the weakest part of England’s game, arguably, and with three group games in hot weather before the knockout phase you want to rotate the players to give them a rest as well as playing, and I just think it’s a risky selection to choose too many inexperienced players. Maguire has the ability to lead and motivate others too. (I agree with Quansah being chosen however, because first choice right back Reece James seems to struggle with injuries a bit too often). - I won’t get started on the midfield selections yet.

I would like to see Toni Silić in our senior squad, but there will be enough time for him. In few years with him on the goal, Vušković brothers and Gvardiol in front of him, we will have clean sheet very often.

I saw many squads and I think there are not so many surprises. Ok England is strange because no Bowen, Palmer, Foden, Alexander Arnold, Lewis Skelly, Tomori, and many young guns. I would be happy to see guys like Rio or Miley or Hinchelwood. As well I think it is sad that France plays without Bouaddi, Kroupi, Canvot, Jacquet and many more as well I hoped to see Nystad but the Dutch thinks he is too young. I am also sad to see Portugal with Ronaldo and no Mora, Araqujo, Horta, and Goncalves. I hope Serbia will play with Kostov

I’m looking forward to actually seeing it I missed so many games last World Cup except the final I like my sleep. 😝
