How much do you care about what others think about you? Do other people's opinions really matter to you? Why?
That's the key! If someone's opinion matter for You - why? Why it affects You? If it's someone important, for some reason, that's understandable.
But too often, we care about what some random-unknown-wewillnevermeetagain- people on the street, in the shoop or anywhere, thinks about us.
Sure, sometimes it makes sense and keeps us in some discipline. But sometimes it stops us from something we want to do for ourselves.
Years ago I changed approach (its related with our own "self-esteem"), and Im trying to care about opinion's of somehow important people for me.
Kind of. It can be more complicated.
A lot because of my body that i have for my age
was care too much about people opinion about me, but, last 5 years, i'm no longer care. especially for the comment about my preferences, tastes, believes or any personal's right. i believe, the older we get the more we have right, and responsibility to make ourselve better & happy. we need to mind our business over commenting or insulting or gossiping other just because they are different from us. most of adult no longer care, but the rest, probably child inside adult's body.
I care a very miniscule amount. I feel it's more important how you feel about yourself. Remember it doesn't matter if your doing amazing in life or if your doing poorly in life no matter which it is, someone somewhere is probably talking shit about you so you shouldn't care what people think. You know yourself and you know what's true and that's what's important. Plus if someone wants to choose to be ignorant and believe whatever false truth they are hearing , then you don't need them in your life to begin with.
