🌍 What if the world... 🌍 Τα πάντα και οτιδήποτε

It is very warm in a lot of countries 🌞🌞 so I made a new game for people who like to hide from the sun maybe. 🙂 Now this time it is a very different "what if" game about the world! 🌍 If you like to make new "what if" questions you can write them below! You can ask or answer any what if question about the world you like! 😊😊😊

What if...

▶️ Vincent van Gogh (he was a Dutch painter) or religious persons like Jesus or the Buddha would live today. What would be their job? Or are there other people from history that would have a different job in the world from now? Or how would they think about the world now?

▶️ Do you think the best sport people from history would be also the best for the sports now?

▶️ All poor countries become rich and all rich countries become poor, would the world be very different?

▶️ If people could live and breathe in the sea and ocean, do you think we would have water cities?

▶️ If everybody has to learn yoga and meditation for one year like other classes in school, would that make a difference?

▶️ There is no electricity for one year. Would you like that or do you think it is only bad?

▶️ People can travel in space for one year. Would you do that? Do you want to live on a different planet?

▶️ There is no gravity for a day on the world. Would that be fun perhaps? What would you like to try?

▶️ There is no Italian food anymore! What would be the new Italian food?

▶️ All poor countries become rich and all rich countries become poor, would the world be very different?
I think the poor/rich countries would go back to what it is today within a few generations because I believe the environmental context (climate, access to resources...) influence the culture and how people will behave.
Like a popular quote say in France: On a pas de pétrole, mais on a des idées.

▶️ If people could live and breathe in the sea and ocean, do you think we would have water cities?
Unlikely. The physics and chemistry in water makes it difficult to build something durable in water. If we were to do so, then the cities would be radically different from land cities, for example by having floating/moving cities

▶️ There is no electricity for one year. Would you like that or do you think it is only bad?
It would certainly forces me to go more to the forests, but I don't think I would like living without the comfort of electricity, especially if it means no heater in the winter and nothing but cold shower. Not even talking about my addiction of internet 🙂

▶️ People can travel in space for one year. Would you do that? Do you want to live on a different planet?
Yes. No.
Yes if I can go back on Earth without any problem. No, I don't want to live on another planet because I think it's a 1 way trip (typically to Mars) and that it's not desirable. Such trip on Mars for example imply some tricky and not so cool things like a strict hierarchy based on abilities. I don't think the first colons on Mars will be very happy if they are not the most needed people of the colony.

▶️ There is no Italian food anymore! What would be the new Italian food?
Banana chile pineapple pizza made of broken spaghettis crust and fried on seed oil :v

Thank you Mare and Lianshen for your answers!! It is very nice to read them because we can have every thought and fantasy of how the world is if everything is very different. 🙂 I have also some answers now:

▶️ Vincent van Gogh would be an AirBNB owner in a beautiful nature place like the beach with the sea or maybe flower fields or mountains with snow. And he would welcome guests and maybe have painting or yoga classes. And I think he would offer surf lessons too. 🏄

▶️ I think sporters from the past maybe have difficulties now because everything is so professional from how they help sporters. So maybe it is not so easy. But sporters who are artists like ballet dancers or ice skaters may sometimes be better because for culture it is different. For example in the past there were more classical ballets and now it is more modern ballet. So classical ballet dancers were maybe better in history.

▶️ Water cities like in movies with perhaps a glass bowl or something like that would be very cool. BUT you need a water taxi or if you go outside the city then sharks will wait and think you are nice food. 🥩🍗🦈

▶️ If there is no electricity for a year there are nice things but everything is different. So you cant travel fast or use a fridge or internet. But it is also romantic and nice with candles 🕯️🕯️❣️ and people sleep more and everything is more like nature. But Roseee 🌹cant wear crop tops anymore because they are made with machines and there is no electricity. But she can get a warm bear shirt maybe. 🐻 And Etienne cant do work because he programmes now. So maybe Etienne will be a hunter or a fisherman. 🥷🐠 But Mare will still be a farmer but without the machines. 🧑‍🌾 And Marba will still be a super hero and he catches bad criminals in the night with the cape and the yellow M from Marba and McDonalds! 😛 😃

And maybe everybody because most persons like at least some Italian dishes and icecream. But if there is no more Italian food I think they have something like French or Spanish foods maybe? Or perhaps Chinese dim sum with fruity bubble tea and healthy Japanese seaweed salad! 🤪😛

I have a new question because of another forum post of Zimreta about chatrooms.

What if...

▶️ There is only one language in the world?

It would be easy that everybody understands each other, BUT I like that there are a lot of different languages and cultures. So I prefer not only one language but many languages. And the same with cultures: it is nicest if there are a lot of different cultures. But like Etienne said in the PPG interview a lot now becomes mixed that you loose the separate things from languages and cultures. That is sad I think because you loose the diversity.

The diversity is nice and it is good to keep that. So my answer is: it is better if there is not just one language, but many different languages.

A different thing is the discussion in the chatroom forum post. If there are other people who speak a different language or have a different culture like in a chatroom or also on vacation, it is good to find a way that everybody is welcome. So maybe try to speak a language that everybody understands and everybody is welcome. But that is different from changing the culture and the languages that it becomes only one language or culture.

Yes, thank you for your invitation.In fact, I am also a language lover, and I like talking in English very much.I am also studying Russian at present.And my major in college is English.If there is only one language in the world, it will be extremely boring. I absolutely don't want this to happen, and I have seen this interview and I like Etienne's answer.I hope everyone can be tolerant and speak their language freely.I am willing to learn different languages.Finally, I ended with an old saying in China: 和而不同，美美与共（Harmony without uniformity, beauty shared by all）
