Today, 80 years ago on August 1st 1944 Anne Frank wrote her last lines in her diary:
"And keep looking for a way to become what I would like to be, and what I could be if there were no other people in the world."
I wonder if she really would have become a famous writer, as she had always wished.

It has become. And deservedly so.
Interesting fact is, that her father (who was the only survived family member) found her diary on the floor when came back after end of war. He didnt even know about her diary before and read it and was astonish how much talent she Had in her young ages.
He fullfiled her wish and published the diary.
The father also made some unflattering censures. He was not the only one to manipulate the diary. There are, in fact, several versions. There are maybe two versions from Anne herself. A great chaos. It's a very lively (burning) product.

her father made some censorship because, in the original version, she spoke of her intimate turmoil, of a boy she liked, of her difficult relationship with her mother. All those things that have happened to all teenagers of all time. But is it right for the whole world to know your daughter's secrets? Of a daughter who died horribly?

Beside of that: Amsterdam was the first city with a complete register of the population incl. their religion.
The nazis had a really easy game to sort out jewish citizens. Its an example to people who believe "Who cares about my personal data!"
Anyways the man who gave the advise that a jewish family hides in that House is still not 100% identified. But people should not forget: This happened in hundert cases. We are angry about that guy because we know her diary and her problems in the hide, but it happened overall in Europe that time that citizens have betrayed Jews.
