🌍 Amsterdam - Any tips? 🌍

Hi everybody! 🙋‍♀️

Ok so we made a surprise forum last time for Happy with tips about Scotland!! You can read the Scotland tips here. I expected like maybe 3 replies but many people helped and gave very nice tips!! This time we make a surprise forum for Lawrence because he goes to Amsterdam in the summer!! 🌤️ 🥳 And maybe the tips are also nice for other people who go to Amsterdam this summer or another time. So share nice tips if you have time! Thank you very much! 🙂 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙏

I have some tips I want to share now. And later I write more tips for Lawrence 🦹‍♂️ and anybody who goes to visit Amsterdam! 🙂

So for food our favourite Chinese restaurants are Nam Kee (Cantonese restaurant at Zeedijk) and the famous floating Chinese restaurant Sea Palace. For the best dim sum you can go to Oriental City!

My favourite bubble tea shop is also at Zeedijk (Chinatown) and is called BiuTea and it also has bubble tea cakes and other drinks. It is very cute and nice!! 🧋🧋🥤🐧

So a very nice museum I like to visit and is for children who are small and also older is NEMO science museum. It is very close to Sea Palace I mentioned earlier. You can also take the tram to the famous museums at Museumplein (Museum square) Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum and the very big Rijksmuseum. And in front of the museum is a big square and park with the letters I ❤️ Amsterdam and you can sit and eat lunch or drink. BUTTT there are very big lines in front of the museum so maybe you can check when you can get in fast.

For you Lawrence you maybe like the Forest Fun at the Amsterdamse Bos. That is a big climbing park in the trees. And you have a lot of different levels but it is nice if you are not scared of being high in the tree. 🌳🌳 The Amsterdamse Bos is also very nice to walk and to be in like a big park so you can play games in the park or you can eat Dutch pancakes at a restaurant. 🥞🥞🥞

If you want to buy Dutch gifts for someone, it is very nice that you can soft wool slippers that look like the Dutch wooden shoes (we call that klompen). It is very comfortable and you can use it in your house or give it as a present. 🎁🎈 And you can buy Dutch cheeses or stroopwafels (I dont know how to call that in English). And tourists like to buy drop (that is black candy that is sweet or salty). 🍭🍬

I forgot to mention Madame Tussauds that has big wax puppets of famous people of the world (like normal size of humans)! 👩‍⚖️👨‍🚀🧑‍🚒🎅🤵‍♂️ That is in the city centre near the Dam square and a palace and famous church (I forgot the names).

And the big zoo in Amsterdam is Artis!! That is also really nice. 🐘🐯🦁 But if you dont pay the ticket they give you to the tigers at a show for the public. 🥩🥩

I'm going with my dad👨🏻my mum👩🏻and my Little sister👧🏻My sister said wants to eat at a local dutch restaurant and do some new exciting activities🇳🇱My dad said he wants go to a Dutch coffee shop☕and my mum wants to go to the Van Gogh Museum🖼️I instead want to make some fun and exciting experiences, like the ones you said, that are perfect🤩

Honestly i would only go for the second hand shops 😉

Ok Lawrence I have a tip for your sister and maybe also for you. It is the Instagram museum WONDR in Amsterdam. You have like confetti showers or silver disco ball rooms or the pink beach with a pink pool full with mini balls and other funny rooms. Perhaps that is nice but you really need to check tickets or it is impossible and too busy!! 😵😵‍💫

For Dutch food maybe a Dutch pancake restaurant? 🥞 Or famous Dutch foods are meat snacks you can buy them everywhere like at FEBO and you put in a coin or bank card and you can take the snack you want. But it is very unhealthy and you can get like a fat panda from that. So perhaps a pancake restaurant is nicer. There is one somewhere in the Amsterdamse Bos but also i think also a lot in the city centre.

And Mare there are a lot of second hand stores in Amsterdam. So depending on what you like it is very easy to find them like everywhere!! 🙂

If I'm right, you can try more than one Cantonese restaurant, whether it's sweet and sour food, that's the taste of Zhejiang or Jiangsu, Anhui. Cantonese cuisine is more fragrant, if you are Cantonese, Hong Kong ~ Macau, you know that the taste of foreigners is different from the taste of China, and the taste of Chinese cuisine in foreign countries is different. I recommend you to eat the famous Chinese dish - Longjiang pork knuckle rice《隆江猪脚饭》😂

🙃🙃 One that you and your sister will also like I think is Upside Down!! 🙃 It is a very cool museum that has many strange and funny rooms about Dutch culture or with illusions or rooms like the Instagram museum but different. And of course upside down rooms! And you are part of the room and you can make a lot of very special photos with your family! But you have to buy tickets and have a time slot!! You can check on internet if you like it but I love it!! 😸😸
