I am sorry to tell all of you that I have found a BIG BUG about the photos in PPG. I won't tell anybody except the administrator until the bug is solved. It may leak your address to others. For fortunately, all people in PPG is kind. Therefore, you needn't worry about it.
For example, I can get your address (longitude and latitude) and your phone model through your photos in your profiles.
What you are referring to is not a bug, EXIF metadata is a feature built into all images and it has nothing to do with Penpal-Gate. That said, we could take extra steps and strip these details out of uploaded pictures to maximize privacy in every way possible, but ultimately people are technically responsible for the files they share.
Posting this message is already showing concern without reaching out to an admin first, by the way.
Edit: Given it is a tiny improvement, it has already been pushed live (it isn't retroactive)
Theres is another bug, too.
When I send photos in a private Chat they appear. When I open them by meself I get an Error Message. The photo opens but after closing it it disappears from the message list. For the other one its still present.
I think I know what you could be referring to. Is this on mobile only?
