it is magnificent and one of the best works indeed, bernini was a master, i like defining his art the ultimate evolution of greek hellenism.
“apollo and dafne” is the demonstration of how good he was in “lightening” the marble, even his dedication to details is crazy. definitely a genius

I prefere the "David" of Michelangelo, but I live in Tuscany and here it is considered like a flag.

Indeed it's purely magnificient as well as anything by mighty Bernini. Baroque masterpieces must exhibit three main features: 1- Physical Movement: perfectly expressed, we can feel the brute force attack and contra resistance. 2- Dramatic expression: Enough to look at the faces. 3- Technical Perfection: We are talking on Bernini aka Perfection. For example those fingers stacked in the flesh by force, requires a true technic in sculpting. Eventhough his "Neptune and Triton" fairly deserves some credits as well.

Bernini probably is one of my favourite, but I have a preference for other works, like Apollo and Daphne.
