Don't focus on "oh, but what if he/she will feel awkward or something?".
Just write about what You really are interested in, or ask what You want to know about that person.
Maybe You have some jokes, maybe You would like to share Your kind of humor. Do it.
And when You will find someone who wants to talk with You, at least You will know its not because You are pretending, but because You are Yourself. That should be the point, right?
You don't even know how many people probably took me as weirdo, or creepy even, boring, etc. Okay, that's normal thing. I find many people boring too. But I also found many interesting people, and they consider me as interesting, funny, etc. Too.

Maybe sharing something interesting in daily life would help.

It always helps a lot if you already know a little about a person, then you can start with finding common interests, and trying to talk about that. Or as Oxiu said, you could ask them some questions 🙂
