My favorite man in history is Emporer Maximilian I., because in 1477 he rode on horse across the half of Europe from Vienna in Austria to Gent in Belgium to safe and protect his bride Mary of Bourgond from be kidnapped by the French King Louis XI! Maximilian was for 4 month in the saddle! Maximilian and Mary got married and they have had 3 childeren. Sounds like a fairytail, but is history! Sadly, Mary died after 5 years of marriage with Maximilian I. in 1482, because while she was hunting by horse, she fell down to ground and died. I like Maximilian I. and his Nickname in european History is: "The last Knight"!
Sisi Empress of Austria, first because of the sisi movies with romy schneidder but later i learned a lot about the history of sisi and how she lived and became fascinated
As a historian, I could make a dreadfully long list of tactically genious people in history from several nations. Instead I shall vote for someone else: Kempelen Farkas. His hoax called the Turk - chess playing machine, and the story behind it, always fascinates me. It is hilarious to see how he has mocked up with contemprary monarchs, aristocracy and figures of power. I like his main lesson: "Yes, you might have absolute power, fearsome armies, vast sources of wealth or notorious reputation. But if I have a cunning mind, I can beat you all." That's pretty fundamental.

I don't think I can choose one favourite person in History... But I am interested in Zenobia, queen of Palmyra from 267 to 272 AD.Zenobia, that is cool and her struggle against the romans! 🙂

My favorite people in history is Zhang juzheng. In my opinion, he was the best politician in the Ming dynasty. He showed his intelligence at a young age( about 12). He plays a role of mentor in the early years of reign of Wanli Emperor. At that time, Wanli was still too young to rule a country. He was still a chid. Zhang Juzheng established many great laws to rule this country in a effective way.
