I was wondering how many languages might have some words "missing". The word for an emotion, action, anything is just not there, while it exists in other languages.
So if you know of a word that does not exist in a language, I would like you to tell me the word and the language it is missing in. If its missing in English, please describe what the word would mean if it existed.
Im convinced there must be something missing somewhere.
Have a nice day and thank you very much for reading and maybe replying. 🙂
Heyy, so i feel that when i speak with my friends in french sometimes i want to say a word but i can't find a translation in french for it. For me it happends with english word like "shady" or "annoyed". There is no real word to translate directly that. 🙂
It is true that compared to many languages, (english, spanish, and most of all german), French has many missing words (instead we have unnecessary conjugation tenses ...)
For example, in Arabic, the longest word is “أفوليستسمحكموها", which means "shall we constrain you to (accept) it". One word that means so many things ? Whoa...
