My first outgoing contact with a potential penfriend won me an accusation of being a scammer. Okay...people must be careful. But, the accusation of being a scammer came at me right after I mentioned that I never married and haven't had a relationship for around 30 years. I fail to see why that answer won me the title of scammer. Can anybody throw light on this, for me? I'd only just arrived and was amazed at the quality and features of this place, to be honest, but I'm no scammer!

not so long ago, I texted a woman (a bit younger then you I think) from the UK. She did not want to believe my age. Neither did she understand that I am my life long homeschooled. She asked me "if you are a teenager, how come you being on a penpal site instead of hanging out with your friends?" she did not want to understand that literally I don't really have any friends in real life.
No, I cannot throw light on it. It's strange, very strange. Some people just don't know how to use there minds/brains.
And those are the people you rather avoid.

If that person says that it is not fair so i think just block that person. And maybe just chat with others who are nicer.

@IanHaines, Don't take this seriously! Your potential penfriend might have some bad experience in the past and wanted to be safe. You just enjoy talking with other people here, there are lot of people here!
I hope that you also maybe like the forum. Bc we have a LOTTTTT of nice forums also super serious or nice or funny. Like for example interviews and from PPG University that @H_E_A_R_T posted. But i have not time now but i can post links later after dinner if you want that. 🙂
