My family is officially Buddhist except my dad because he does not really believe in anything. But I think i need to learn more about Buddhism too. ππ
I know that for Christians the biggest two types are Catholic and Protestant. @mabah and @Pennarossa2024 do you also go to church? I am not catholic but if i come in a church it feels very calming. I dont know if that is the right way to say it. But it makes you feel very calm.
Perhaps sometime I would also like to go to a mosque because i think that is the same even if you are not a muslim. That is very nice i think.
And I know that for muslims you can be Sunni or Shia right? But i dont know if there are more types. Which type are you @Esma-Nur, @Fleurke and @Sabri_KC? Is it very different to be Sunni or Shia or not so much? ππ
I am a sunnah Muslim Today, 1.6 billion Muslims believe that Allah is the only god and Mohammed was his prophet. They all follow the five pillars of Islam and revere their holy book, the Koran. Of them, 80 percent are Sunni. Religious differences between them and the Shiites include: - Sunnis attach much more importance to the 'Sunnah', the traditions of the life of Muhammad
Thank you very much for explaining that @Fleurke!!! Have you always been a sunnah muslim or later? π
I converted to Islam when I was 18 years old. I was always welcome in the house of a Moroccan friend and her parents and I always heard the adhaan (call to prayer) there and I always got goosebumps when I heard it. I then started reading books about Islam and converted.
