1: When did you join PPG and can you perhaps tell about your nicest moments on this site?
I joined PPG earlier this year in February/March when I was looking for a Penpal from Australia. In fact I was asking Microsoft Copilot for Penpal sites and PPG was the first site it suggested and I thought I would give it a try. I have been active here ever since. I had a lot of amazing moments here already but my favorites are always the moments where I got to know someone new. Acquaintances who then became friends 🙂 I have met people here who have grown very close to my heart and I am very thankful for that.
2: You told me earlier that you both study and work. Can you perhaps tell a bit more about it and what do you like about it? Will you work at the same company after you finish the study?
That's correct! I attend a Cooperative State University and I'm currently in my second year of studying Online media. This kind of study integrates academic studies with workplace training and is really popular here in Germany. You are basically at university for a few months before being back at work, it's always in change. The advantage of this compared to a normal university is that you receive a fixed salary as a trainee from the company where you are then employed. You also gain practical experience directly in the company which I think is really valueable! But it can also be really exhausting. After graduation, many companies also take on their trainees but that differs from company to company. I personally hope that I will continue working there!
3: The city you have as hometown is Würzburg. Is that where you live now? Or do your parents live there? What is nice about the city if we visit it? What is your favourite place (like a shop or square or building) in Würzburg?
I am not directly from Würzburg but my parents and I are from a small town not far from it. In my opinion Würzburg is one of the most beautiful German cities and I really recommend visiting it! I personally love it so much because it is not as big as other cities like Frankfurt but it's not small either. I'm not a big fan of big cities so it's perfect for me and it has a lot of sightseeing attractions and historical buildings. My favorite place is at the Main river (the river is called Main - not to be confused with the english word main) or the residence. I just love the scenery there and it's a really nice place to relax! Würzburg is also known for it's wine but I haven't tried that yet. 😄
4: Do you have brothers and sisters? Are you close and what do they do? Do you visit or talk with each other a lot?
I have one older brother, who's nearly 3 years older than me 🙂 We get along well but I wouldn't say that we are close. He attends the same Cooperative State University as I do but he is currently working on his Bachelor thesis and will do his Master afterwards. He is studying Business informatics. We don't talk that much but there's no bad blood either!
5: Can you explain how you got the name Txya for your profile?
I indeed can 🙂 In the past I was playing a lot of other games and I had the same username everywhere but at some point I didn't like that username anymore so I was looking for a new one. I didn't want a username with numbers or other characters and it took me a while to find something that I liked. The idea of Txya came when I was watching a movie and there was a character called Toya (I unfortunately don't remember the title of the movie). I liked that name so much that I wanted to use it as my new username but unfortunately it was already taken so I had to think of something else - I replaced the o with x - Txya. Since then it has been my username on nearly every platform that I am registered on.
