Dear Readers and Friends-of-my-Forums
In a few days’ time, the fourth quarter will begin here on Penpal-Gate.
When I started my second round, I already knew exactly what I was
going to do. I discovered Penpal via social media… even though I’d
already owned my first laptop back in 1992. By today’s standards,
it was a typewriter with a few extras. But back in those days, I was
the envy of everyone… a 100 MB hard drive and 4 MB of RAM!

Things turned out differently to plan in the end. What would life be like
if everything always went according to plan? No surprises… not really
my idea of intensity and excitement. I’ve really enjoyed the time up to
this point and learnt an endless amount. It almost goes without saying
that ‘new’ people have also come to my attention in the process. Even
a few ‘old’ ones from the first round have got back in touch.
To be completely honest, I’ve far exceeded my own expectations. As far
as I’m concerned, the Penpal-Gate project has been a complete success.
Over the next three months – 108 days, to be precise – I’ll be bringing
my final chapter to fruition. This will also involve reflecting a little on
the experiences I’ve had here. Anyone who’s interested will be able to
follow this in this forum.
