THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING
Today I had to go down to the lake. I live in a small village... high enough that I rarely see clouds above me here. It has gotten warmer over the last few days and the snow has almost melted away. Of course, winter isn't over yet, but today was the first day of spring. I had the feeling that it would be better to take my old, small INOX with me. A good thing -- otherwise I certainly would have been quite annoyed with myself... There was thick fog over Lake Constance, which kept the temperatures down, but despite everything, I had a few nice hours and later the afternoon the fog faded.
_____Someone might call it ART...
So, now you can enjoy some lucid-transcendental shots from my living space. If you like....
___________________________________________________________________1 March 2026_______________ A LUNCH WITH FRIENDS
Eating is more than just a necessary intake of food. As an artist, I fulfil a little dream every day and prepare my meals beautifully. When I'm with friends, the whole thing can of course turn into a party... but even if it doesn't, and only silence prevails, it's still a wonderful enrichment for the senses.
Sometimes everyone prepares their own meal. In such cases, being together becomes even more interesting. Yes, this was my own making...
___________________________________________________________________21 March 2026_______________ RAISED BOG and 'WALDSEE'
Cycling through the woods on a mountain bike early in the morning is still a rewarding experience, even after all these years. The snow has melted almost everywhere, but temperatures still drop below freezing at night. No breakfast, no meditation... not exactly what my body would classify as the ideal start to the day. But ... I wanted to go back to 'Waldsee' to take some fresh photographs and show you its enchanting beauty.
Moor lakes are VERY old, dark brown, and when there is no wind, they lend a magical quality to everything reflected in them. Shorelines and sky reflections have been among my favourites for years. Early in the morning, our 'Waldsee' is not yet so well lit, and this atmosphere—or its counterpart in the early evening—still makes my heart beat faster today. The deep silence that prevails then is simply breath taking.
The photos presented here are therefore brand new and were taken during my 6-Hour Tour today. The moods captured match what I actually experienced almost 99 per cent. I have not used any 'tricks' or filters. I have only adjusted the exposure and contrast in Photoshop. As I had only taken my little ‘IXUS’ with me and everything was shot freehand, I couldn’t always achieve the optimal apertures and exposure times....
