Thanks four Your answer. 🙂

Of course, I don´t blame the little children for this. They have no idea what Halloween is about and take it for a fun. But adults who have some knowledge should show responsibility. It is not only historically, but currently connected to Satanism as former members witness.

Hence, we should not support this in any way; it is like indirect support or accepting this.

Catholics have another beautiful tradition: Little children may dress like Saints on November 01 and go through the streets singing beautiful hymns about the Saints. Maybe with candles in their hands. This is surely way better for their souls than dressing like a skeleton or vampyr.

Thank you for answering back. In our street everybody does it for the small kids. Like for my age NOTTT bc that is weird but small kids dress up and go to the houses and for me it is like babysitting but not that you also ask candies of course. But we ALSO have St. Maarten but i dont know if that is also in other countries. So what happens is that it is on another day and in the evening you dont have candles bc that can burn stuff but you have lanterns. So a stick with a light that you buy in the shop and the cover you can make but normally they buy stuff they like. So it can be like a cute cover or just what they choose. And the song is abt St. Maarten. I can translate the song in English that they sing and after it they also get candies. But i dont know if others know abt that too in other countries. And in school they tell about it. So it was a Saint and he gave to a begger a part from his cape. And he became a saint and that is what they sing about and the song is EXACTLY the same when i did sing it at the same age. So it doesnt really change.

that is a beautiful tradition and it is known and common in Germany, too 🙂

That is really nice!! I was not so sure if it was only in The Netherlands but it we celebrate it before Sinterklaas and Christmas. 😊😊

St. Martin is celebrated on November 11 🙂

I looked it up in our country and it is the same on that day! 🙂 I think i will walk again with super small children from our street but only this time if there is another person too who walks bc it can be too many and super stressy too!!! But if maybe a friend of me can do that and she has time or maybe one of the parents i think that is enough. And they get the lanterns themselves with their parents so that is nice. But you can also buy them in the shops or you make it at home or at school.

Very nice 🙂 Of course, it is the same day because it is the official day when to celebrate this Saint. For each Saint, there is a specific day in the year of the Church (-> name day) and for some, we know special traditions. I am going to write more on my blog about traditions. 🙂

hiii @MariaRosary!!! i hope that you have a nice St. Maarten!!! we walked a round with the small children like last year and that was really nice. and they got a LOTTT of candy but bc they sing in the evening they cant eat it now but have to wait but still it was very nice bc it was really dark so you could see the lanterns very well!!! ⭐✨💫

Sure, many might smile and think I am exaggerated: but Halloween is not a harmless winter carneval. It is not a festival of the Church. Instead, it has pagan routes and links to okkultism. Indeed, it is the most important festival of the satanists!

So, how should we deal with it? You can read my opinion on my insta account (s. profile).

The true origin of Halloween dates back to the Celtic pagan festival of Samhain. The Celts, living in what is now Ireland and northern France, celebrated this festival to mark the end of summer and the beginning of winter, a period often associated with death in many cultures. So I don't see the connection with Satanism personally, and I don't mean to sound rude, especially since you're older than me, but I'm fed up with your comments about Satanism. It's a religion like any other; there's no reason to be afraid of us. Besides, if you're Catholic, you should know that you have to respect everyone, even if they don't share your opinions. As a Satanist, have I ever commented on your religion or your way of thinking? No, I respect you. So the least you could do is reciprocate.

The doctrine of the Trinity is one of the most fundamental doctrines of Christian faith. A number of ancient and even contemporary theologians claim that the doctrine originated in Greek speculative philosophy and that it does not reflect a biblical view of God. There are clear instances of Platonic influence upon the second century Christian writers. Justin's pupil Tatian uses the same analogies to describe the emanation of the Logos and ascribes the role of interaction with the world to the Holy Spirit, probably because he equates the Spirit with the World-Soul. Athenagoras uses the Platonic terms 'Nous' and 'Logos' to describe the Son, and identifies the Logos with the sum of Forms. Both Athenagoras and Clement of Alexandria quote Plato's Letter to demonstrate the necessity of three principles. Therefore, the Christian Trinity or the inner dynamics of the relationship between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit have been formulated using Plato's distinction between the Good, Nous and Pneuma (World Soul). Neo-Platonism, consequently, has a crucial influence on the doctrine of Trinity formulated in the golden age of the church fathers. As we all know, Platonism was not a biblical teaching at all. According to your logic, one must reject "trinity" since it has unbiblical roots. Same way idea of church also has unbiblical roots. The historical reality is that early church-fathers were heavily influenced by various ancient dogmas, cults, and disciplines. Marking any of them as "satanic", knocks the theological tower of Christianity down.

Dear @Viovio_Sheronsky1205: I am not offending you. I don´t judge the people, but the religion. I respect each person and each soul is very precious to me. But being a Catholic, it is my duty to tell my opinion about good and evil very clearly. There is only one truth, the Catholic faith. In other religions might be traces of the truth, but mixed with heresies.

If you are satanist, you should be aware about the character of satan and his "kingdom". He is a creature, after all, not a God. So, he is lower than God. He is unable to love. He is the upmost evil being.

Again, I am not offending you, I just wish the best for you and because of my faith, I am just worrying about your soul. It is meant kindly. I want that everyone may enter the Heaven after death - and not the everlasting hell. I want the best for everyone. God bless.

@diogenes_cask: I will answer you later in detail.

The parallelism btw. Halloween and Trinity is not convincing and logic to me.

1) I simply stated that Halloween is not a feast of the Catholic Church, but celebrated by satanists. And it has not Catholic or Christian routes, but Celtic and pagan ones. The character of Halloween has many in common with okkultism and it can be a true danger for the souls. And it has not Catholic or Christian routes, but Celtic and pagan ones. 2) Pagan thougths are not always satanic or evil. As I said, in other religions and philosophies can be traces of the truth, but mixed with heresies.

The Quran says that Maria is virgin and that Jesus is called the Messias. But the Quran is not part of the Catholic faith, even though it implies some true statements which we have in common.

3) The Holy Trinity was revealed by Jesus Christ in the Gospel. In the Old Testament are already hints for it. Eventually, there have been similar "ideas" in ancient philosphies like platonism. A true trace in a Greek philosophy. So, if Catholics used those terms which were used by platonists before to explain the doctrine of the Holy Trinity, this does not make it pagan at all.

St. Patrick used a leaf to illustrate th trinity...but this does not make the Holy Trinity a plant or biological object.

4) Satanism and paganism is not always the same.

Halloween is over. The best way to be a Christian is to set a good example and always love.

Have a look on Athanasian Credo which is almost all about Trinitarianism.

The only true religion is Catholicism

The only true religion is Catholicism

I think everybody can have the religion that they want and it is good to respect what everybody believes. So for example in our family we are Buddhist or at least MOST in our family. But i respect it if somebody is for example Christian or Muslim or Hindu person. So there is not only one religion but as many as people believe and what is really important for them.

Sure, there are many different religions and each one may decide in free will which he/she wants to follow. But there is logically only one truth.

Jesus Christ taught us to love even our enemies. Therefore, we must have respect for other religions and for non-believers. The era of the crusades is fortunately over.
