All the arguments in favor of integrating Taiwan into mainland China are worthless compared to the will of the Taiwanese to remain independent. Taiwan is a democratic country where free elections have been held and have shown the firm intention of the Taiwanese not to become slaves to a communist dictatorship. In order to consider a possible integration of Taiwan into China, mainland China would first have to become a true democracy with a multiparty system and candidates not appointed by the government. I think that the example of Ukraine should give Xi Jing Ping food for thought. It shows that a people who want it can resist an invader who is superior in power and numbers.
why you think theres a Dictatorship? have you ever went to china and see? you just use your tiny brain and poor knowledge to imagin, to believe what you want to see. you should open your eyes and see how this world changed.
Sometimes it seems that only the Chinese do not know how criminal is their government. To remind you of some undeniable facts, there was the repression of the wighours, the loss of freedom for the Hong Kongese, the invasion of Tibet and even the millions of deaths caused by the Chinese Communist Party. For my "narrow" mind, this kind of regime that keeps power by all means including the most violent without taking into account the popular will is a dictatorship. You should try if you have the courage to criticize your beloved leader and you will realize it.
People just think what the officials want them to think.
Im not sure whether people are able to think by themselves, when they are manipulated day by day by media controlled of the KP.
