I have grown up during the cold war and it was a more relaxing time then today: no climate hystery, no islamic terrorism, no globalism, but clear fronts: West against East!

I don't live in a cold war. But my grandparents say it was a time of progress in both the West and the East. But like Che Guevara said that's because we've been here. Hong Kong's housing prices soared in the 1990s. Why? Because that's when the Soviet Union collapsed. Why the last century was a golden age for the United States and now Americans are nostalgic for the Cold War. It was also because the capitalist countries were afraid of being replaced by a proletarian party, and the big capitalists extended welfare and paid a lot of taxes.
