It was the best of the times, it was the worst of times. Under the fear of the total atomic annihilation, humans managed to made achievements in everything to a new height with the speed that maybe can never reached again.
I have grown up during the cold war and it was a more relaxing time then today: no climate hystery, no islamic terrorism, no globalism, but clear fronts: West against East!

I don't live in a cold war. But my grandparents say it was a time of progress in both the West and the East. But like Che Guevara said that's because we've been here. Hong Kong's housing prices soared in the 1990s. Why? Because that's when the Soviet Union collapsed. Why the last century was a golden age for the United States and now Americans are nostalgic for the Cold War.
