I didn't open this forum to watch a discussion or to receive insults from Piwipete. I wanted to talk about an important topic for the future of Europe. For our future, but especially for the future of young people like Yue, Mare, Esma Nur, Sabri and many other ppg guys who live in Europe

I hate that a LOTTTT of money is now for NATO and you could also use it for a lot of other things which are a lot better. BUTTTT if NATO is not strong i believe that Russia will take other countries like they try to do with Ukraine. So i dont think that NATO should attack Russia at all. But if Russia attacks countries i think that we can defend ourselves. And you should also helo countries who are victim when that happens.

So i think for defending yourself and victims: yes it is important. BUTTTTT attacking Russia and for example going to Moscow a super big NOOOOO!!!!! That is what i think.

The NATO secretary general said that the member countries are ready to fight, suffer and die together. The NATO countries have decided to increase military spending. Do you agree? I do not want to fight, suffer, die, spend money on wars decided by these people

Where did you see this? I don't think anybody is ready to do such a thing. Not only is it ludicrous, but Russia isn't even among the threats Europe faces. Anyone raising the specter of Russia in public debates usually does so to create a diversion or a false sense of unity

NATO is a defense organisation, not a war organisation.

Means the NATO will only be active if one of their members is attacked.

Which doesnt mean that automatically the defense Case is active. If Turkey e.g. is attacked by Syria Art.5 is not automatically active.

Well , let me have a little thought for all these poor innocents civilian people who get killed in Ukraine daily because of russian missiles and drons attacks and I do not forget the few russian citizens who are facing wirh the same evil because hate brings to hate on the both sides unfortunately !

Actual french s army chief of staff , general Thierry Burckardt used to tell us recently that french army had to get prepared to a very high intense conflict with russian army and french government told us that it wanted to increase the number of rafale s french fighting bomber jets able to carry french tactical nuclear missiles called Asmp ( each one of them is carrying a nuclear chargé 20 times more powerful than atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima ) and those nuclear jets were expected to fly over Poland and Baltics States territories so as to deter Russian army to try to invade these countries !

I was referring to the EU not being at risk, I left out Ukraine for obvious reasons. I very much doubt Russia would randomly declare war to anyone past their former territory. Though I suppose no one was able to call their "special operation" over 2 years ago..

It is the army's job to get prepared for all scenarios possible, so it is sound advice to invest in all kinds of logistics. Politically speaking though it makes no sense to make it a top priority, as France is already facing many major challenges that the government is unable to address. my source? all the italian newspapers. what did the german social democratic minister say? the day will come when the erasmus generation will have to march on moscow. why? because russia will attack us. if we provoke russia, it will attack us. i see a european political class of the lowest level: populars, socialists and right-wing extremists like madame le pen or afd. they all disgust me (with very few exceptions). this is my thought. etienne is free to think differently.

In my country we had Geert Wilders who has the PVV and he is like Le Pen in France but he is Dutch. And he had the most votes in the last election but he stepped now out of the cabinet or the government. So we get new elections. And the last times there was always a right government BUTTT not with the PVV but with the VVD. That is the same party as the leader of NATO who is Mark Rutte. So for the new elections there are two parties who are left and they are Green Left and the PvdA and they become one party. So the next time maybe there is a left government. I dont think the PVV will be the biggest again and our teacher in society class also says that. And it is because he now had the chance to be in the government and he stepped out so nobody wants to work with him again. I hope i say this correctly but if i make mistakes perhaps bart or kiki can correct me. And our teacher at school also said that in many countries it will be like with the PVV so if they become the biggest the people see that they cant really lead the country. But the reasons why they became the biggest, than other parties will copy some things of their ideas so some things will change.

Yes, thank you very much for your point of view. However, I still stubbornly believe that 100% of the wars in this world are disgusting. No matter what the purpose is, the unchanging result is that soldiers and civilians are harmed. Because I think that a war is often launched because of interests and distrust between people, but the cost of launching is shared by soldiers and civilians, which is unfair and cruel.
