  • Something to tell the world!

    Hi! 🙂

I am Yasmijn, a nineteen year old girl and who is trying to spread her wings to discover new parts of the world. So as you might expect, I have a passion for travelling and discovering new things (cultures, nature, crazy facts: you name it, I will probably have some interest!)

Furthermore I love photography. Often, I have a camera by my side to take pictures. It is not that I am the best, but every picture I take has a certain story. A picture says more than a thousand words, ain't it?

Anyway, I am good at rambling, so if you want to have a conversation, feel free to contact me! 🙂

  • Cities and countries I have visited

I have always had a passion for travelling! As a kid, I often went on holiday to Germany or Belgium. When I was 11, I first went with a plan to Canada, where family lives. Those three weeks we spent there where unforgetable.
In 2016, I visited Rome. This visit was part of my education as a gymnasist (as in learning Greek and Latin). I immediately fell in love with the city; it is full of history, you can really feel it! And, you will never get bored, because there is so much to discover.
The last two holidays were to Austria and Slovenia. I loved Austria because of the mountains and the stunning views. However, if I had to choose between Austria and Slovenia, I would defenitely choose for Slovenia. The raw nature, friendly people and the peace of the country are wonderful. I would recommend going here! (especially the capital, Laibach, is really pretty!)
In 2017, I also went to Corfu, a Greek island. It is as you see in the pictures: blue see, white beaches. The small villages are lovely, and even in the autumn, it is still 25 degrees (celcius)!
In 2018, I have been to London in the United Kingdom. It was really nice! Another city that I have visited, is Budapest in Hungary. This is a city where you will certainly fall in love with. It has everything one desires; nature, architecture, cultures (so many!) and amazing people! A real recommendation!

I would love to know about the places you guys went to! 🙂

  • Favourite books/authors/films

I love John Green! Looking for Alaska, Paper Towns, the Fault in Our Stars are a few of my favourite books.

  • A personal challenge

I personally think it is really important to step outside your comfortzone. Your comfortzone is save and nice, but trying new stuff is even better! I think this is also my biggest struggle, to get outside of my comfortzone and to just do the things I always wanted to do, but never did due to fear. At least, you are not your fears and don't let them determine your life. 🙂
