  🌍 I live near Paris, in France.

  🇫🇷 I was born in France
  🇩🇿 My parents are Algerian
  So I’m both, French and Algerian!
  🧬 I am ethnically Arab, but I also do have Amazigh (Berber) blood from my dad who has some Amazigh ancestors. Yet I mostly consider myself as an Arab.
  ☪️ I am Muslim. It is my religion, and I am proud of it. I respect other peoples’ beliefs, and try to understand them.

  🤹‍♂️ I also like politics, I feel like I can have a word on what’s happening in the World, but not too much because then it makes me sick… 🤢 Too much politics is not good for everyone.

  🌍 One of my biggest passions is geography. It is one of the main reasons why I am on this website, along with other reasons. I know all the Countries and their flags, I also know most of the Capitals and National Anthems in the World. It is truly things that I like. And since geography and history go together, I also like talking about History, geopolitics, and else...

• Ce qui m'intéresse dans les autres cultures

  I love discovering countries that I've never really read about : documentaries, photos... I often see what are the folk songs or dancings, the celebrations they do.

  All cultures have their own language (most of the time), dressings, viewings of the world, celebrations, songs and dances. This is why each culture is unique !

  Each culture is a treasure. 💎
  This is also why I am very proud of my double culture 🇫🇷 🇩🇿

• Livres/auteurs/films favoris

  I like animes but I don't really watch nowadays because I don't know which one to watch 😅.
  I like Harry Potter. I watched the 7 movies, and read a few books.

  I also love books that is about a story around politics or war. I loved "Si tu veux être mon amie" which is talking about two girls, (one from Palestine and the other one is Israeli) communicating together by writing letters, beyond the war. They are sharing their lives, their opinions, it is just awesome to see how they don't yell at each other and prefer peace. ( It is a true story and it has been reported by Litza Boudalika, who collected the letters and put them in the book. )

  I know almost all the capitals of the countries of the World. I also love listening to National and regional anthems, patriotic songs, from all over the World.
  That’s why I also know almost all of the World’s national anthems. I can locate regions of the world and subdivisions of countries (US States, Spain’s Comunidades, Germany’s Lands, Russia’s Oblasts, etc…)
  Yep, this is a true passion ! 🌍

• Vivre à l'étranger pendant un an

  I would like to live a year in Canada, because it’s not a country only fond of bears and maple syrup, but much more : A very great country with open-minded people, very good job opportunities, attractive cities, beautiful landscapes, and a very good stability in the economical and political system. Being one of the most happiest and safest countries, Canada offers a very good quality of Life. 🇨🇦 (And because they speak french in Québec 😉)

• Étant enfant, j'aurai aimé...

  I am now legally an adult.

  I would have liked to take more advantage of these great carefree moments, without anxiety and worrying about the future, without bad emotions... My childhood was a time that I lived wonderfully well, but now, there is no going back... 😔

  I finished high school with flying colors 🥳 but now it feels so weird. I have been to high school for a so long time… I made a lot of friends, I like my teachers… I will miss high school…

  But now thanks to high school, I am entering university this year, and it is time to go forward and progress! ✊✊

  They have done so much for me to stay safe and have a good life, and I am so grateful for them. Yet I won't be enough grateful for everything they gave to me ❤️ I love having good time with them and my family ❤️

  Everyone, please take care of your parents if they are still here, because it is only when they will be gone that you will see how lucky you were.

  May Allah protect them and let me take care of them as they took care of me when I was a child 💚🤲

• Je trouve surfait ou sous-estimé...

  Culture is underrated.

  This is partly why I joined this website. Everyone here is open about their culture and likes to talk about it at any moment.
  I don’t know if I lived with some wrong people, but I have already been considered as racist because I was talking to someone about their culture. I mean, it passionates me so much, that whenever I talk with someone with foreign origins, I often ask if they do follow their culture or not. Sometimes I kind of get them offended but I don’t do it on purpose 🙁 Cultures are so beautiful, but if one doesn’t follow a culture, one just needs to tell me and it is okay.
  (And what I mean by follow, is to take part in a culture’s specific way of life, events or celebrations)

  Racism is « the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another. » I do not distinguish any culture as superior or inferior. Of course, I love my personal culture and ethnicity, and it has a prior special place in my heart 💚 but objectively no culture is superior than another, for sure! All cultures have their specificities and characteristics that make them so unique, and that’s what I love about them. 🌍

• Un défi personnel

  The challenge of finding my cultural identity as a "Third Culture Kid". I am BOTH French and Algerian, and if I could add two flags on my profile picture, I would do it.

  Finding my cultural identity is somehow challenging, between two countries which had a difficult past, and have quite different and opposite values. Sometimes I feel accepted by both countries, sometimes I feel rejected by both countries.

  But you know what ? In the midst of this challenge, stands my double identity. I lived in France throughout my entire life, but I also identify very much to the Algerian identity. It's up to you to choose your CULTURAL IDENTITY.
