I am gay and I aim to reach out to similar people, particularly males.

I've had asthma since childhood and one of the ways I maintain my resistance to attacks is swimming. In my youth, I swim twice a week, each session for 2km non-stop. Now that I've grown older, I can still do 2km but with a break somewhere in the middle. I have not been into competitive swimming.

I can voluntarily move my ears, one at a time, alternating or simultaneously.

I have read Gabriel Garcia Marquez' "One Hundred Years of Solitude" at least 6 times since it is my favorite book. I have read all 6 main books of the "Dune" series in my youth, being a fan of science fiction. My favorite poets are Rainier Maria Rilke and Pablo Neruda. I watch gay themed movies whenever I can.

I always enjoy talking about the open-source way of software development and computer security, though I must admit, I still have much to learn about them. I also enjoy talking about film and literature, books read and movies watched both by me and whoever I'm conversing with.

I feel concerned about the future of humanity, which encompasses issues related to survival and harmonious relationships; ssues like environmental degradation, war, and oppression.

In my youth, I have been very interested in past civilizations, which is why I considered taking up anthropology as a course.

的专家

I am an expert at making an embarrassment of myself. I am quite socially inept and grew up this way.

I have been to all the cities in Metro Manila and to more than 50 cities around the Philippines. Overseas, I've been to Colombo, Singapore, Hongkong, Copenhagen, Auckland, New Orleans, Stockholm. The most exciting place I've visited was the Sigiriya Rock in Sri Lanka.

The most challenging thing I have ever done is to forgive my father for the emotional and physical abuse I received from him.

I felt very proud participating in the peaceful EDSA revolution which toppled the 20-year reign of the dictator Ferdinand Marcos in 1986. This is followed by my participation in the similar ouster of the corrupt president Joseph Estrada in 2001.

The world would have been a better place if science were to prevail over all superstitious beliefs, including all forms of institutional religions; and if all forms of diiscrimination and oppression were eliminated.

If only people would understand more about he importance of science in their day-to-day existence, not necessarily the entirety of its content, but the philosophy behind it, everyone's lives would be a lot better; including our outlook in life, how we relate to one another, how we maintain our physical and mental health, how we face our fears of death, among other things.

I had always been fascinated with machines. Even now, most of the films I enjoy most are those that involve robotics, artificial intelligence, nano-machines, time trave, space travel. If I were to choose a career now, it would be engineering.

If I were to go back to my childhood, I would be less repressed about who I am, including my sexuality. If so, I would have been more open to social interactions with people in general, and with my friends in particular. I wouldn have been less of a social cripple as I am today.

My parents and me have very few things that we agree on. They were almost always disapproving and intolerant of my choices in life. I was diligent and exercised self-discipline sometimes to the extreme. I never got nivolved with drugs, alcohol and gangs. But even that was not enough. Come to think of it, I never really knew what they wanted, for we very rarely talk heart-to-heart. Instead of talk, I remember only of reprimands and suppression.
