• Cities and countries I have visited

  Meine Reisen führten mich in die Berge Österreichs und ans Meer. Italien, besonders die Toscana, die ich auch mit dem Fahrrad erkundete, hat mich ebenso beeindruckt wie Griechenland. ich war auf Kefalonia, Karpathos und Kreta. Malta hat mich insofern begeistert, weil ich dort zu einer Zeit war, als es dort noch eher wenig Tourismus gab. Urlaub in Slowenien, oder Kroatien habe ich ebenso genossen wie Städtereisen nach Florenz, Pisa, Siena, Bratislava und Brünn. Europa habe ich bisher nur einmal für eine Reise nach Tunesien verlassen. Was ich noch sehen möchte, ist Irland und die Nordlichter in Island...

• My interests in other cultures

  Es sind nicht nur andere Kulturen, selbst die Menschen innerhalb einer Kultur, eines Volkes, sind so unterschiedlich, dass es sich lohnt, mehr über sie zu erfahren.

  It's not just other cultures, even the people within a culture, a people, are so different that it's worth learning more about them.

• A personal challenge

  Ich habe meine Entscheidungen immer so getroffen, dass ich sie heute noch für richtig halte. Die schwierigste Entscheidung und der schwerste Weg, den ich je gegangen bin, war meine Scheidung
  I have always made my decisions in such a way that I still think they are right today. The hardest decision and the hardest path I've ever taken was my divorce.

• I'm an expert at...

  Ich sehe mich nicht als Experte, aber ich habe viele Fähigkeiten. Ich habe zwei Berufe erlernt, bin Elektrotechniker und Masseur. Außerdem koche ich ganz gut und backe mein Brot meistens selbst.

  I don't see myself as an expert, but I have a lot of skills. I have learned two professions, I am an electrical engineer and masseur. In addition, I cook quite well and usually bake my bread myself.

  Ich unterhalte mich gerne über Gott und die Welt, über Gesundheit, alternative Heilmethoden, das Leben......einfach über alles, worüber man Philosophieren kann...

  I like to talk about God and the world, about health, alternative healing methods, life...... simply about everything you can philosophize about...

• Personal skills

  Ich verfüge über eine gewisse Menschenkenntnis, habe mich selten in Menschen getäuscht.

  I have a certain knowledge of human nature, I have rarely been wrong about people.

• Childhood pleasures

  Meine Kindheit war von Krankheit geprägt. Ich war besonders behütet (over-protected). Am meisten genoss ich es, der elterlichen Fürsorge zu entfliehen.
  My childhood was marked by illness. I was particularly over-protected. Most of all, I enjoyed escaping parental care.

• It is better now

  Früher war alles gut, heute ist alles besser. es wäre besser, wenn wieder alles gut wäre.

  In the past everything was good, today everything is better. it would be better if everything were good again.
