  • Childhood pleasures

    Ich bin ein Kind der 90er. Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Darkwing Duck, Captain Balu, Tamagochi, Ed v. Schleck, gemischte Tüte für 50 Pfennig... das war meine Zeit. Und ich vermisse sie sehr. Die größte Sorge damals war, welche Sticker oder Pocs man tauscht. 😁

    I am a child of the 90s. Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin, Tamagotchi, Ed von Schleck, mixed bags of candy for 50 pfennigs... that was my time. And I miss it very much. The biggest worry back then was which stickers or Pogs to trade. 😁

  • My opinion on human nature

    Ich bin leider der Meinung, dass ein Großteil der Menschen - zum Glück nicht alle - sehr eigensinnig ist. Nach dem Motto "Jeder ist sich selbst der Nächste". Aber glücklicherweise gibt es einen kleinen Teil, der eben genau andersherum ist, lebt, denkt und handelt. Dennoch überwiegt der Egoismus und das unsoziale Denken und Handeln.

    Unfortunately, I believe that a large portion of people—though thankfully not all—are very self-centered, living by the motto "Every man for himself." But fortunately, there is a small part that is exactly the opposite, living, thinking, and acting differently. Nevertheless, selfishness and antisocial behavior and thinking prevail.

  • Cities and countries I have visited

    Bis dato hatte ich leider nicht das Vergnügen groß in der Welt herum zu kommen. Letztes Jahr jedoch ging die Reise nach Plocé und Umgebung in Kroatien. Als Kind war ich mit meinen Eltern oft auf einem Campingplatz (leider weiß ich nicht mehr wo) und in Friedrichskoog an der Nordsee. Als Jugendlicher war ich einmal mit einem Klassenkameraden und seinen Eltern in Italien. Tief im Stiefel. Doch leider weiß ich auch hier den Städtenamen nicht mehr. 😛 Ansonsten bin ich hin und wieder in Deutschland unterwegs (Köln, Berlin, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Aschaffenburg, etc.)

    Until now, I unfortunately haven't had the pleasure of traveling much around the world. However, last year I traveled to Ploče and the surrounding area in Croatia. As a child, I often went camping with my parents (unfortunately, I don't remember where) and to Friedrichskoog on the North Sea. As a teenager, I once went to Italy with a classmate and his parents. Deep in the boot. But unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the city either.
    Otherwise, I occasionally travel within Germany (Cologne, Berlin, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Aschaffenburg, etc.).

  • Favourite books/authors/films

    Ich bin keine sonderliche Leseratte. 😛 Bisher habe ich den ersten Band von 50 Shades of Grey gelesen (I know... please don't judge me xD), The Witcher, Wächter der Nacht und aktuell habe ich Last Line Of Defense angefangen.

    Mein Interesse liegt da eher in Filmen. Science-Fiction, Fantasy, Action, Endzeit und Horrorfilme sind so die Hauptgenre. Zwischendrin auch mal ne Komödie oder Drama.

    I'm not much of a bookworm.
    So far, I have read the first book of 50 Shades of Grey (I know... please don't judge me xD), The Witcher, Night Watch, and currently, I've started Last Line Of Defense.

    I'm more interested in movies. Science fiction, fantasy, action, post-apocalyptic, and horror films are the main genres. Occasionally, I also enjoy a comedy or drama.

  • Making the world a better place

    Um die Welt besser zu machen, benötigt es mehr internationale Kommunikation und Konfliktlösung auf verbaler Ebene. Mehr Akzeptanz, Solidarität, Empathie, Mitgefühl und Hilfsbereitschaft. Wir sind ein Volk und eine Rasse. Also hört auf euch wie die letzten Ar*******er zu benehmen und euch gegenseitig fertig zu machen. Egal auf welche Art und Weise.

    Und wenn das nichts hilft, brauchen wir mehr Durchsetzungsvermögen der Exekutive und härtere / überarbeitete Strafen für Vergehen und Verbrechen. Es kann nicht sein, dass man für das Tragen eines "falschen" Trikots im Stadion 5.000,- Strafe bekommt, ein Vergewaltiger oder Kinderschänder hingegen nur eine Bewährungsstrafe bekommt und wieder auf freien Fuß gesetzt wird. Auch sollte das Mindestalter für Strafmündige herabgesetzt werden. Die Jugend von heute ist nicht mehr vergleichbar mit früher. Heutzutage sind die Kinder frühreifer und greifen sogar in jungen Jahren schon zum Messer oder anderen Gegenständen und verletzen / töten andere.

    To make the world a better place, we need more international communication and conflict resolution through verbal means. More acceptance, solidarity, empathy, compassion, and willingness to help. We are one people and one race. So stop behaving like the last As****es and tearing each other down in any way.

    And if that doesn't help, we need more assertiveness from the executive branch and tougher/overhauled penalties for offenses and crimes. It can't be that someone gets a 5,000 euro fine for wearing the "wrong" jersey in a stadium, while a rapist or child molester gets only a suspended sentence and is set free again. The minimum age of criminal responsibility should also be lowered. Today's youth is not comparable to the past. Nowadays, children are more mature earlier and even at a young age resort to knives or other objects and injure/kill others.

  • I feel concerned about...

    Ich mache mir Sorgen um die Welt. Immer mehr Konflikte... Verbrechen... Hass... Neid... Gewalt...! Wir sind eigentlich eine intelligente Spezies... und verhalten uns wie die letzten hirnverbrannten Vollpfosten. Es tut mir leid, dass ich das so sagen muss. Aber wenn das so weiter geht, sehe ich schwarz... für uns alle.

    I worry about the world. More and more conflicts... crimes... hate... envy... violence! We are supposed to be an intelligent species... and we behave like the most brainless idiots. I'm sorry to say it like this. But if things continue like this, I see a dark future... for all of us.
