• Making the world a better place

  Goodness making the world a better place. we are now supposed to understand how we are destroying this planet. The age of ignorance is long gone. Because of either indifference, argument or indecision progress is slow.
  Listen to science, don't stick our heads in the sand, try desperately to right what we now know to be wrong and save future generations, plant animal and human alike.

  Hard question to answer. Maybe diploma of management studies.

• Favourite books/authors/films

  I tend to read non fiction and love history.
  Books that changed my thinking are 'Following Hadrain' and a local history book The islands of Somerset, and Brian Cox Story of the universe, and I love science fiction fantasy and thriller books and movies, "I Robot and The rest of the robots" by Issac Asimov two of my favourites 😍
  I'm reading Shantaram, by Gregory David Roberts. Look it up 900 pages. I was hooked from the start.

• My opinion on human nature

  Sure there are people who are unselfish, thinking of the whole, and I truly hope I am one.

• Childhood pleasures

  Growing up in the countryside it was the dark skies, the animals and being on a farm making hay, and bicycle rides on the lanes, and making snow man in the winter. Taking my ginger cat up to the tree house with me.
  Questions here keep bringing memories.

• Personal skills

  Building my house I find construction very fulfilling, makes me happy to improve and not finished learning.

• Living abroad for one year

  Maybe Thailand, the climate and culture are different from what I'm used to, it would be a nice change 🤔

• It was better before

  My parents grew up in the early part of the 20th century. There was world war and suffering, nothing much changes eh !
  But in many ways everything was simple, with less distraction in their daily life.

  I might edit this, takes some thinking about.

• I'm excited about...

  Right now, finishing my motorbike restoration project.
  And what will be next on my agenda 😃

  Communication without doubt.

• 10 years from now

  I will have my workshop at home. In the coming years I hope to be more artisric. Still to be making furniture.
  I would like to be passing on knowledge to students.
  And hope I will still be riding a motorbike (-:
