• Something to tell the world!

  Hello! I'm Lisa from Germany. My hobbies are dancing, reading, writing stories, learning new things and I really love cats. And recently I discovered the fascination of Astronomy. 🪐
  I think languages are very important so I'd like to learn as many as possible. Languages can help you in lots of situations in life and if you have already learnt one, other languages are easier to learn with help of familiar words. Spain sounds really beautiful... If anyone wants to teach me any language, I will teach you one of my languages! 😉
  I'm a Belarusian so if someone is interested to learn something about Belarus or Germany, where I have been living for my whole life, I will help. In counter, I would be happy if you tell me something about your country or where you come from. 😉

• My interests in other cultures

  Anything! A stay of three weeks in France made me discover slightest differences of Germany's neighbour and I think anyone on earth has his or her personality and lifestyle, likely influenced by one's surroundings...thus leading to my interest to discover other cultures. 🙂
  And also I think in Europe people are living less and less traditionally, adapting to a common world, so traditional societies are rare and fascinating. ×)

• I'm excited about...

  I'm excited about the chance to get to know people from so many different countries in such an easy way. 😃 And also about writing with nice people. XD
  And about Russian and French. Both are really beautiful languages, trust me!
  The most interesting thing is our space. The human beings are so little compared to the endless space! 🌕🪐☀️

• Cities and countries I have visited

  I haven't been to many countries yet, but the ones I have visited are very beautiful and I would like to visit them more often: Austria, Belarus, Italy and Croatia.
  Ah, and of course Poland, Tschech, Germany's neighbours.
  I really want to visit Russia and France because I like the languages and the culture and I want to improve my language skills.

• I always enjoy talking about...

  I like talking about books and exchanging book recommendations.
  Talking about interests we have common, school and Animal Crossing is also great. 🙂

• Favourite books/authors/films

  Fantasy and action books are my favourite, especially "Harry Potter" by J.K.Rowling (by the way, Ravenclaw is the best house, isn't it?) and "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" by Ransom Riggs. There are so many great authors and nearly every book I read is written by someone different, so I can't decide who's my favourite writer. But Agatha Christie's books about the clever detective Poirot are interesting, every single of them. =)
  But of course I also like films and there are a lot of movies based on books which are quite interesting.
  My favourite movie is "The Cat returns".(not based on book)
  I can really recommend "trouble is a friend of mine", though the ending of the second part was too "open", as I think. But tell me your opinion about it! Update:I found out there is a third part, but in English...! 😄😉

• Personal skills

  I think I'm strong in languages, and I know lots of things about space, though I will be learning all life. 🙂

• A trick or piece of advice

  Look at the earth, the environment and the nature as if you have lived your whole life on Mars.

• My proudest accomplishments

  I'm proud of my grades at school 🙂

• It was better before

  In earlier times, the communication among people was not that digital, instead more personal, perhaps, at least in my opinion. Social media make it easier, but they are great time takers so I guess you should try not to overuse them. 😅😇

• It is better now

  The education, of course! We are able to learn more languages, can study every kind of subject and we are well-educated in all parts of life. Even if you could have learnt languages at school earlier, now, you are able to learn them more professionally.

  And of course I enjoy being able to use the Internet. Otherwise we couldn't write on penpalgate! 🙂

  And the people finally understood the urgent issues of climate change, the extinction of species and the pollution of the oceans. It helps to solve them! 🙂

  Playing the violin is harder than I thought!

  Playing with soft toys. 😃

  I look older than I am!
  But I'm 14!
