  • Something to tell the world!

Hello, I am Jozsha. I love to have a meaningful conversations with people. I find myself constantly wanting to acquire new knowledge, and I am pretty much interested in almost everything.
I specifically love literature and exploring subjects like hedonism, nihilism and exstensialism. So if you have any interesting outlooks on subjects like those, or interesting history facts, I would love to have a conversation with you! I like to philosophize about the meaning of things, and ponder about it endlessly.
I also like talking about music. My music taste is kinda all over the place. I play the piano, mostly classical pieces. I am, however, also in a grunge band. I'm the bassist and the makeshift drummer because we haven't found one yet. My favourite band is probably Soundgarden or R.E.M.
I always try to learn new skills; and so I have a lot of interests and hobbies. My main hobby is making art in the form of paintings, drawings, sculptures but also writing short stories and writing poetry. Another one of my interests is acquiring rarities and/or obscure looking items like antique clocks, old crucifixes an all sorts of antique items.
I love the languages too, I speak Dutch myself, but also speak an adequate amount of English and German. My French is a bit rusty, but I can write and read it. I am currently learning Latin. I think my favorite Latin quote so far is 'Viviamus, moriendum est.' (Let us live, for we must die.) It is a quote I go by when living my life. I want to make the most of everything, learn as much as possible, create as much as possible, and most importantly; learn from others.

  • Cities and countries I have visited

When it comes to places outside of my motherland, the Netherlands, I have only ever been to Belgium and France. Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed it every single time I have traveled to France and Belgium, although I would one day like to see more of the world.
My favorite places I have visited are mostly in France. One of my favorite areas is la Morvan. The collosal mountains and hills that cloak the landscape; enthralled in mist, never fail to impress me. They bring forth a sense of mystery and ancient roots (figurative and literally) like I have not yet experienced elsewhere.
Another one of my favorite places I have visited is Chateau Saint Roux, a beautiful, marvellous and pitoresque Chateau laid in the South-French countryside. It is there that I think I have experienced the happiest days of my life, the most grounding ones. I don't know wether it was the place itself or the orange-purple burned skies; clouded with pink that were hovering above the seemingly neverending vineyards, but I felt so familiar with the nature in the area and my surroundings, that it was almost as if I was walking in a past life.
Another place I love is le Mans. I love the historical value of the city, and the cathedral is astoundingly beautiful. Almost each year we go to see 'La Nuit de La Chimere' in le Mans. That night multiple areas of the city, including the cathedral, are completely lit up with gorgeous projections. It's something I greatly recommend sticking around for if you are in the area.
