โœจ๐ŸŒDreams ๐Ÿ›Œ๐Ÿป๐ŸŒŒ English

Hello everyone๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป,
For my German class I need to do a presentation, and no subject is imposed.
I choose to talk about โœจdreamsโœจ bcs it's always funny when I wake up and remember a funny dream or one that doesn't make sens ๐Ÿ˜‚ (Sabri knows what I mean eheh๐Ÿ‘€)

As I want to keep the public interested in my presentation, I would like to answer the question they could have.
That's why I created this forum : I would like you to share your question about dreams. (Any questions are interesting, especially funny or strange ones ๐Ÿค“)
I'll do some researches and I'll try to answer you ๐Ÿ˜Ž

(My presentation is Tuesday, pray for me ahah ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป )

Dreams ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

๐Ÿ›Œ๐ŸŒŒ๐ŸŒ โญ๐ŸŒŸโœจ

A question that i asked myself, time ago, when i dreamed of people i've never seen in real life, is: do the strangers we dream of really exist? It could be possible that we met them somewhere in our lives, even if we don't remember of them, at least, not consciously? Or we just imagine and "create" mentally their appearance from zero, in some random way?

(My presentation is Tuesday, pray for me ahah ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป When I was little I always dreamed that I could fly down the stairs and when I flew I fell out of bed, very strange feeling. how does this happen?

A question that i asked myself, time ago, when i dreamed of people i've never seen in real life, is: do the strangers we dream of really exist? From what I've understood, we can't create someone from zero. Maybe we saw them before (it can only be someone you saw for 5sec in the street) or it can be a mix of people's faces we know/we saw one day.
Something I find funny is when you dream of someone, you know who it is but their face isn't the same as in reality ๐Ÿ˜‚ imagine dreaming of an actor but you know it's your mom

One day I dreamed of a boy and reaaaally felt in love. But I don't know him irl ๐Ÿ˜ข and I don't remember seeing him somewhere.... Sad

What I would like to know is how you actually get dreams. Is it like a process in the brain? Also, why do you dream and why do some dream more often than others?

And good luck on your presentation! If you inform yourself well, it will go good! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒบ

I totally feel you, because i had the same experience once! I dreamed of a girl i've never seen in my life and i felt in love with her. It was a beautiful dream, but then i woke up, so i started to think if she could really exist...

I'm not sure of the explanation.
First, I read that there is no scientific evidence that a dream or another have a signification. The question of "do dreams have a meaning" will depend on your beliefs.

I would tell you that maybe you dreamed of flying because you were falling out of bed. Your brain could have noticed you were moving and translated it as "I'm flying".
Or maybe you were moving irl because you thought you were flying, and as your bed isn't big enough to "fly" you felt out ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Or maybe you really know how to fly ๐Ÿ‘€ ouuuuu ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

No one dream more than others, everyone dream every night, but they don't always remember. I read that you remember more your dreams if you're a child or a woman, and as you keep being older it's more difficult to remember your dreams after the night. Also, people who pay more attention to details (in general, everyday life) are more able to remember their dreams, and ofc if you take time to write them down or trying to remember it, it helps a lot.
The fact that creative and imaginative people have more dreams than other is false.

For the process honestly I don't really know, I think it's difficult and I don't think we really know that ๐Ÿ˜… I'll do some researches and tell you.

Why do we dream? Sorry but we don't really know either ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜ข
There are some hypothesis:
-dreams helps to learn/memorise things that you lived during the day
-it helps you to be empathic, being at the place (do we say that in English?) of others in order to understand them better.
-it "simulates the threat" ๐Ÿ™ˆ so that you are trained ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป and when you face a difficult situation irl, it's easier to overcome it. (That's what I read ๐Ÿ‘€)
-It helps you regulating your feelings. Dreams could be like a mental theater where you could play every situation and plan every scenario ๐Ÿค“ so you are trained too. I think that's why sometimes we wake up with some stroooong feelings ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚ (one time I woke up HATING my German teacher for no reason, even if she's really nice and never did anything ahah)
-finally it's a moment during which you can have creative ideas. As you can't think, your brain will do some strange associations, that you wouldn't have think irl bcs it's too strange, but finally it's not too bad... I saw that the idea of the sewing machine, the periodic table and Einstein's relativity come from dreams... (They didn't have THE idea during the dreams, but some part of it)
Is it true ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ idk...
Apparently Dali used to fall asleep for few second and then woke up in order to have ideas for his art ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ‘€

Maybe dreams have another function, idk if I told everything (probably not)

Some people (for example Freud I think) say that you can accomplish unconscious desires while dreaming.
