Struggle with short-lived online friendships

Recently I’ve been feeling a little confused about online friendships.

I find it really hard to build deep, long-lasting connections with people online. For one thing, I’m naturally shy and often don’t know how to start or keep a conversation going. For another, heavy study pressure stops me from chatting regularly, and most contacts just fade away little by little.

I know this is pretty normal for online relationships, but I still can’t get used to how quickly every bond drifts apart. I’m curious—does anyone have advice on how to deal with this feeling, or how to maintain long-distance pen pal connections better?

Focus on your school, do some sport and hang out with your real life friends. Offline world should have a great advantage before online world.

I have gotten to the point where I realize most relationships will end or fade away eventually, regardless if they are on or offline. That's how I deal with the feeling if connections going away.

I think you just gotta find your own balance and your own ways to deal with it. The only I will say is never neglect your own needs and wants to chase keeping connections alive that have already faded away.
