I would like to suggest that there are more genders to choose from than male and female.
Especially within the age and interest spectrum of PenpalGate, there are many people, who not fit into a binary gender system. All Non-binary, A-gender and religious people like two-Spirits are excluded by the current given options. Also, people like me who are transgender but didn't medically transitioned yet may not completely feel good with having to say they are one of two choose able genders.
Therefore, I suggest creating following genders to choose from:

If you're surrounded by people who care about you, maybe take time to fully reach adulthood to assess your life options. I am not sure if you fully understand what I mean. Sure, transgender people can just choose the opposite gender, but Non-binary people for example can't choose a fitting gender. There are many adults who stay Non-binary, that's not just a thing people say through their teenage years. Therefore, more gender options are necessary to represent all users.
