Tell me the titles of 6 books Films, music, TV

I'm a bit of a bookworm and I'm always curious about what people like or don't like, reading wise.
I'd like to know:
1. Your favourite book;
2. A book that changed something in you (it can be how you live or how you see the world or how you see yourself, how you behave with someone, how you approach life, anything);
3. The book you dislike the most (that you've read or tried to but couldn't finish);
4. The book that made you laugh the most;
5. The book that made you cry the most;
6. A book you'd recommend to someone (anyone), if we don't count your favourite one.
Doesn't have to be all six if you can't think of one that fits a category! It can be in your native language too (although I'll be a little sad if I look it up and it hasn't be translated in one of the languages I know so I can't read it).
Just joking 😁

Can't wait to see what you like/dislike!

1. Shadowhunters: City of Bones
2. Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix
3. The Neverending Story
4. The Best of Charlie Brown and Snoopy
5. The Diary of Anne Frank
6. The Hunger Games

1- Intimacy (I'm reading it rn)
2- Lord of The Rings.
3- Pilgrim.
4- Into The Velvet.
5- The Professor's Girl.
6- Stumbling Over Love.
Interesting choice of books for an almost 17yrs old, I'd say 😉

Thanks for the great question.

1. I have a difficult time with this one because I don't have one favorite book. However if I had to pick one the first that comes to mind is:

The Hidden Brain: How Our Unconscious Minds Elect Presidents, Control Markets, Wage Wars, and Save Our Lives by Shankar Vedantam

I picked it because it really did a great job shedding light on how humans work.

2. Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book by Bill W

I'm not an alcoholic but the behaviors of those I grew up around were those of Alcoholics. I got into the book through Al Anon which is the organization for friends and relatives of alcoholics to help them learn how to live with them. It opened my mind to a new way of thinking of life and taught me what serenity is and how important it is to have in one's life.

3. There isn't any one particular one that stands out. The most recent one I started and didn't finish was The Beautiful Land by Alan Averill. It started out as an intriguing science fiction novel and then devolved into a horror book. Not my taste in books.

4. It might be The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

5. I don't really cry but the book that I found the most devastating was Earth Made of Glass by John Barnes. It's the end that I found devastating. It has nothing to do with the movie with the same title.

6. Animal Wise: How We Know Animals Think and Feel by Virgina Morell. It's a fascinating book about animal intelligence and societies.
