I hate advertising. Really do. But music is perhaps the only thing that can surpass certain barriers. That song above was incorporated in the 70's (or 80's can't remember) to and advertising of certain Spanish bank. The ad was passed in every exhibition of the local cinemas. At the time, a village of say six or seven thousand people may hace two or three cinemas, though that may sound strange these days. So was the place where I was born.

The song is not any song. That psychodelic atmosphere, that pounding bass in counter time, makes the song special, rare, difficult to follow if you dare to play on the guitar. Different, in a word.

But the most special thing is it's ability to bring the past back into the present. It's like going back to my seventeen or eighteen years of age. A tunnel of time...

Odd, rather than funny.

I'm afraid that prejudices prevent senior people to listen to modern music. (Please allow me to make a clear distinction between music and show, which is a different thing).

What we have above is, in my humble opinion, one of the best products of popular music on the last 50 years. To point out that, as such, it was far different from what on those times lead the "hit parades". In fact, for an ear of those times, it seemed almost classic music, mostly because of the fact that there were no cuts, it's a 15 minutes song on each side of the record. Far away from the 2 minutes we're (and were then) acustumed to.

Here's the question: is any of our young fellows here prepare to hear and appreciate such a piece of "chunk". Are your heads that far away from prejudice?

I hope so, but being sincere, would be much surprised.

Cheers!
